Fitting TTS Engine cover on TFSI Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have had the Ram Air Oversize Induction kit fitted when I had my R-tech stage one map. (great piece of kit btw!)

Ive now bought a TTS engine cover, any advise as to how to fit the thing?

I think "Damo" on here fitted one to his vrs,the car is for sale on here at the moment & i think he did a project thread on here as well, that may include the fitting of the engine cover.

Yes, I have fitted one on mine.

You need the cover, and 3 longer screws to replace your standard ones.

Parts Used were:

06F 103 925J Engine Cover

06E 103 164E Front lug

WHT 000 731A  Rear Lug (You need 2 of these)

I got all the bits from TPS, and it came in around £120 IIRC

Once you have the lugs, hold the cover over the engine and you'll see where the lugs that hold them are

Using a star key, remove your standard ones (They will loosen, then yank them as they have a rubber grommet on) and replace them with your new longer ones.

Then just push your cover down until it clicks on

Hope that helps :)

Ive got the same induction kit as you, i agree its a really good bit of kit, also got the TTS engine cover, tidies up the engine bay nicely .

The front lug screws into an empty hole in the inlet manifold, from there its pretty straight forward to identify which two lugs need to be swapped over.

Theres a picture on a golf forum with the locating lugs highlighted if you get really stuck.
