That's a very nice looking car, Duncan. Looks purposeful with the spolier and its in very good condition from the look of the photos.

Looking good Duncan :D

Nice to see lots of envious remarks on that forum too ;)

Yeah I bet theyd love the vRS over there as well!! Thanx for the comments!

Nice looking car there Duncan.

ditto dunc!

echo my comments from an earlier thread - the galant is a nicely designed car - looks great.

By the way Duncan, is it Swissol'd yet?

Not yet , i havent even waxed it for months , just a wash n rinse with zymol shampoo!

Very nice, I always think the Galant looks good. Nice alloys you have. Maybe get some clear or smoked side repeaters instead of the orange ones.:)

Way ahead of you mate , theyre allready on order , along with 03 spec front clear indicators!!

My friend has a galant vr4, but your alloys look much nicer!

Is your galant the N/A version of the vr4? what drive is it?

That looks like a very nice car and in good condition too.

Its based on the same shell as a VR4 and its engine shares both its size and configuration , but thats where the similarity ends , im afraid! The VR4s 2.5 V6 is a DOHC unit with twin turbos , whereas mine is a SOHC unit and is NA. My car is also only FWD and 4 speed (non tip) auto. Some VR4s come with 16 inch wheels , the later ones have 17 inch OZ wheels , they are not interchangable with the rest of the Galant range tho , as the VR4 is 5 stud , whereas my car (and other 'g's) are 4 stud fitment!

i never knew they were sohc, and didnt know about the alloys either. ive seen a v6 sport the other day and looks much nicer than the vr4.

Personally id rather have a yellow twin turbo legacy estate than a vr4, but the power delivery on the vr4 is so subtle, smooth and straight to the point really.

Mmmmmmmmmm Nice.

Looks like you've the original rear springs, rather than the upgrade to longer ones. Do you find the car grounds when it's heavily loaded? (I mean 100 bottles of wine and four people heavy) Mine used to. I even bottomed out the suspension on the M20 once, which was very unpleasant! The dealer did the spring change for nothing, too.

Phil

Are they called highering springs? :p

Yep still the original springs , ive had no bother with bottoming out ect , but then im a billy nae mates who is usually in the car himself!! Ive not had much more than a few groceries in the boot yet so i havent any complaints! (oh , apart from i wish i had a luggage net like my vRS had!!)

Duncan,

Drove passed Berwick twice in the last couple of days and even had SWMBO looking out for you (as well as the gatsos). 'How will I know it's him?' she asked. 'He's got a big **** off spoiler bolted to the back of the car.' :D

Never saw you , coz i note every vRS i see!! I was down your neck of the woods a few weeks ago at Owlerton Stadium for the Speedway Premier League Riders Champs , no vRS kicking around , but several Evos!

On the subject of evo's saw a evo in Glasgow powering away from traffic lights on University Avenue. Funny how everybody was mouthing the word "******"

You can hear the speedway from our house!

Plus it doubles up as a dog track. A tenner gets you loads of stuff like a racecard, first pint free (wine for the ladies!) and chicken in a basket. Top night. Class with a capital 'K' :D

Nice pint of Carling in the bar as well! , its a very impressive facility , i bet it makes more on a 'dog' nite than when the 'Pirtek' Tigers are on track tho , speedway isnt the biggest supported sport in the world! (altho there were 3500 there for the PLRC , including a busload of us lot , supporting Michal Makovsky (CZ) of our own Berwick '3t Mobile.net' Bandits!)
