Why don't we get dealer special editions like this one!

Featured Replies

I'd buy one

green with gold looks suprisingly good.  Shame about the red calipers

I'd take 18" again just to save my spine but yeah I quite like that.

Looks different, like the set up for sure! Shame we do not get such specials.

Paint it black and it will be Brimma's MK3!!

With that level of ground clearance I'd be concerned how long it would take before I had to peddle it like Fred Flinstones car!

Dealers in Europe tend to offer things like this., many also sell the cars with the after-market tuning kit pre-installed.

Wow, that looks awful with the huge wheels making the brakes look tiny at the back!

some dealers do have some specials, or try and tart up their models

at the time of the Octavia Blackline, a dealer here had their last remaining non-Blackline demonstrator done up to match the same spec.

IIRC it was a red petrol M2 vRS estate, and they put on black wheels, leather and the better stereo, and then they went one better and had a black grille surround and tinted rears.

at the same time they had a "it's been hard to shift" bright green Mk2 Octy hatch demostrator which had a splitter and allsorts added to it.

at just over £33k you could probably do it cheaper yourself

They don't do dealer specials like that because it's only going to appeal to a very narrow market - people are far more likely to buy a standard car and add their own choice of mods.

The first thing that comes out of dealers mouths in the country is, warranty. They even get the shakes when you change the interior bulbs never mind tune the cars.

Lets me honest that is a mess of a car!

Google Octavia and Rotiform and there are thousands of amazing looking combos and yet this thing looks rediculous. They tried really hard to make a mess of it.

Not my cup of tea, but each to their own...

Agreed. Not for me. Think the stock look on the extremes looks much better. But I'm old so what do I know ;)

"I couldnt afford an Impreza"....

Whilst the wheels are a bit spectacular, the spec is fantastic with all the toys that most people choose or would choose if they had the money. If this had been at the national Rockingham, I am sure that it would have got the thumbs up. At £33000 yes it's expensive, load up an equivalent Audi etc and it will be £40K and some.

Aside from the matters of taste (German tuners are often a bit excessive, at least to me, not to mention my local ones...), I find the sales/marketing initiative quite interesting.

Here in Italy, Skoda website and policy is really dumb and, so to say, bog standard.

Nothing is admitted. A H&R setup, with OZ 20" would be simply unbelievable.

And, again, "if only Skoda dealers were as good as Skoda cars..."

Coming to a council estate SOON ! and there's a Fn good reason why

nahh, Skoda is not cool enough! Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Mustangs are popular where I work.

But yes I get the point you are making.......chav-tastic!

Can't imagine turning up at work on a Monday morning in this! I am a wolf in sheeps clothing man!
