VCDS options on Superb III

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have just bought a MY2018 L&K. Does activating any unactivated features ( such as TSR/HBA ) invalidate my warranty?

TIA,

K

Potentially yes if they can prove the fault is attributed to what you have adapted.

However it is easily reversible ;)

However since you are only coding things the factory would have coded I would love to see them wriggle out of a claim.

Now obviously if the coding is not done correctly then that is a whole different ball game.

Hi....

Were do I locate this ?

Coding Eyelashes always on in the headlights S3

(To check if you have SLA fitted and therefore eyelashes that will light up, make sure you headlight part No.s end in B and not A... 3V* 941 01* B, the * determines if the car is LHD or RHD and whether it is the left or right headlight, which is why I have not included these digits)

The 3V1 941 01* A oris just above those numbers if yours ends in A then the whiskers are not present.

Hi, does anyone have the VCDS in or around Leeds please?

Hi,

Just ordered a new Superb estate  which is in port, so should be here in a month or so.

There's a few tweaks I'd like to make, I'm thinking of investing in VCDS:

- Throttle Response (I can totally get where people are coming from with this) - although I have a SportLine, so not sure if that will make a difference

- Ability to lock doors with engine running - really handy for cold mornings so I don't have to freeze my arse off!

- Probably a few other software based features if possible

Has anyone ever had any issues when taking their car in for a service? I.e they've spotted that something has been changed and raised it?

I'm wondering if VCDS has an easy way of restoring settings to default...

Cheers!

I think unless you adapt something really obvious like disabling the seatbelt reminder then it won’t be noticed.

Throttle response is good when changed btw, have you got DSG. I did mine this morning.

Yeah I wasn’t planning on doing anything too crazy.

Is there a log log of changes kept in the ECU or other system? Ie if I change the settings back would they easily be able to tell? Would they care? :)

yes I should have a dsg 4x4!

There’s a log on your computer, not sure on the car.

Youll definitely notice a difference.

Is there really a difference? I'm hopefully getting mine done Thursday. I keep mine in eco most of the time and there are a couple of spots where the lag is very noticeable followed by a massive surge.

Yes I noticed it and even more so in sport. I just drive in normal driving mode and also noticed the lag.

so u want to start the car, get out, lock the doors and walk away, for the car to warm up?

Correct. I know it's possible someone could get a sledgehammer and take a window out and drive away, but I'm not that far away from the car.

I'm sure I've seen it was possible on the MY17 cars and other VAG cars, so hopeful the option hasn't change. The only thing that stops you doing this that I can see so far is that the remote buttons don't work when the engine is started (same with my current Octy)

Another option I'm interested in, if it exists, is the tilting the wing mirrors on reverse. I used to drive a 987 that did this by default and it was really handy....

Anyone know if it's possible? I did search but couldn't find anything...

Yes it is possible to tilt the n/s mirror when you select reverse.

If you have the door mirror control in the L position, when you engage reverse the passenger side mirror will tilt down. It will be covered in the car manual.

This depends on the trim and spec level of the car, all cars with electric memory seats have this as std, others it needs to be coded.
