VCDS options on Superb III

You'd hope the MQB platform meant it was possible but VW always keeps some technology for itself. Look at the active info display which is not yet available in Skoda or SEAT cars.

i'm sure the new Skoda Karoq already has the Active Info Dispay as standard.

won't be long before the other models get it too.

  • I'm aware the mod for 30 colour pallet in the ambient lighting screen has been mentioned several times on the forum. TLDR: The RGB values used on available in the table at the bottom on my post.

  • Not sure how that would work, by your reconning they would have less need for rear DRL's as they have less daylight hours.   Brake lights are 4 times brighter than a sidelight / rear DRL, th

Exactly this shows that VW keeps some technology for itself. AID was available on Passat already at the end of 2014, and only now comes into Skoda.

Also for example 2.0BiTDI si available only in Passat, not in Superb.
But that is something we have to live with. For me, the most important are safety systems and these are available also on Skoda and Seat cars :)...

picking my new Superb  se-l  up on 1st September, is there anyone in Tyne & Wear area that can do VCDS for High Beam Assist, Lane Assistant boot closing from inside the car. Thanks

I'm picking up my new SE-L in september too... I'm guessing you need to have an option with the multifunction camera fitted in order to enable these?  or is this something I could get enabled on mine as well? :D

Correct you will need the camera for those options.

The boot closing will be by VCP when the file becomes available ( can't do 2016 onwards cars yet)

Thanks Gizmo, maybe have to wait for the next car then.

I'm guessing if it's due to be built end of August for delivery end of September it's a bit late to add options :P.   Would the "Travel assist with traffic sign recognition and display" be enough?  Or would it have to be something else, as the others are a bit pricey and all seem to require electric front seats as well.

You can but ask but I would imagine it is too late.

TSR is the cheapest way off adding the camera on a SE L.

Thanks.  I might be cheeky and ask.

So the TSR uses the same camera as the lane assist etc?   That's very interesting, wish I knew that!   So you could theoretically have lane assist, traffic jam assist and high beam assist just by paying the £85 for TSR?

Edit: Plus of course whatever the kind VCDS modder would like for their time :P

Guys, is there a list or spreadsheet anywhere of all the things you can code, thus far at least, on the Superb III?

Perhaps a silly question, but does making these modifications void your warranty at all or cause any issues if you're on PCP finance?   Will the dealer care or find out at all?

Thanks :)

Did anyone try this for remembering the last state of the START/STOP button?

  1. Select Contol Module 09 in VAG-COM/VCDS
  2. Go to Security Access
  3. Type 20113 and Login
  4. Select “Adaptation – 10”
  5. Select Channel 34 and read

You have three options depending on what you want your Start / Stop Button to do:

  1. Start Stop as Per factory settings
    • Reduce the number by 4 (Effectively Bit 2 to 0)
  2. Start Stop with Memory Function
    • Change the number to 32 (Effectively Bit 5 to 1)
  3. Start Stop with inverted display (LED on switch is the opposite to the factory setting)
    • Change the number to 64 (Effectively Bit 6 to 1)

The dealer will not care in the slightest.

Just spoke with the dealer, the car is scheduled to be built next week... so they aren't going to be able to add a camera :(.   I'm guessing it's not practical to retrofit? :D

With a new windshield, you can retrofit.

Ouch, maybe not on the cards just yet then haha.   Oh well, might have to live without lane assist and traffic jam etc till next time.   I'm still looking forward to playing with VCDS a bit though! :D  Thanks guys.

Just FYI: I had Arteon for a few days and Traffic Jam Assist together with Lane Assist and ACC is a great safety feature.

You can really see the difference in the reliability of Lane Assist in comparison to Octavia 3 PFL. It is still not perfect, but much, much better. I have also tested (not intentionally) Emergency Assist and wooow does it work great.

It looks like for me for the next car, these safety assistants are a must have feature.

This method is probably for the Superb 2 Facelift and similar cars on PQ46 platform. In MQB, there are no Adaptation numbers, they are simply text...

This method is for Audi platform ;).

That's a shame, it would have been great.

i enable the TSR, It works fine but just pop a dynamic road sign display currently restricted message everyday. Anyone has idea how to remove it?

Does your car have navigation?

yes, it's 280 sportline.

It can be restricted on areas, where are unknown speed limits or there are no traffic signs recognized. Typically it is on parkings, private roads or small country roads. Thats my assumptions based on my experience.

thank you. It shows sign correctly, just a error message in car function. I just leave it then
