Dam You Skoda Preston!

Featured Replies

After driving 30 mins and signing for a red ticket left by the postie the day before, i pick up my red ticket item then drive 30 mins home.

The red ticket was a bloody nonsense letter from Skoda, titled to Mrs!! Adam... Regarding someone else's tdi Scout model, ( i have a fab vrs mk1) listing the cars reg number and chassis number, stating there is a improvement to the model available and too book my scout in to servicing.

-Why is a letter like this required to be signed for?

-Why am i being addressed as  MRS? How many MRS are named Adam?

-Why are you mixing up customers car details?

-Have you sent someone my details?

- Data protection issues?

I have put in a offical complaint, ofc the person who deals with this is not available to day, and they will call me back ...

ffs what a very serious problem!!

A few years ago, I wrote to SWALEC to complain after they sent me a recorded delivery letter that I had to collect from the Post Office telling me they need to read the electricity meter and allow them to inspect it as it was their right to have access to do this etc.

OK, if I'd ignored earlier requests I could accept this, but why when this was the first time they contacted me? I'd always paid their bills promptly and never been in arrears. All they needed to do was leave a card through the door when they called to read the meter and arrangements could have been made. I said to them that we can't be unique where nobody's at home all day during the week when we're working?

Maybe not a serious problem to some by the look of it but why should you have to drive 30 minutes to a Sorting Office to sign for a letter that could have been delivered normal post?

Then when you think this all comes under that banner of Customer Service wouldn't it be nice to have it done right?  If they cannot even get the basics like this right how confident do you feel in them being able to deal with your car correctly?

OK it isn't life threatening and not the most serious problem I am sure but nonetheless I think the OP has a point and I don't think it justifies the response it got.  Still we all have opinions!

I agree. Thats why i didn't post in the "serious only" thread found here for you :http://memegenerator.net/instance/55294509

But annoying none the less, i have little spare time as it is, for Skoda to but taking 30mins of my Saturday for complete nonsense.

Madness, seriously this is really, really bad. A d to waste 30 minutes of your time.

You want to get a compensation claim in ASAP

No, i would like them to stop being dicks, and wasting peoples time. I would like them to stop sending people others car info, I would like them to realise that all it does is annoy people let alone show people that Skoda are a brand that people want to buy from.

I was under the impression companies appreciate complaints in a means to improve?

 - i work 60 -70 hours a week in the NHS, cut backs, and 3 months of a recruitment ban .. if i don't work there is no cover, patients clinics will shut. Im working like mad, hopefully temporarily... if i where working 35 hours or sat on my arse retired then sure what's 30 mins. I wouldn't mind but why cant a letter be posted? and the letters details where nothing to do with my car model, and even if they where the actual content of the letter was a whole lot of nothing.. a "upgrade is available" no details but book into services.

fair point.

I got a letter today for an ex-demo car I bought, for crash repairs.

The invoice is dated three days after I collected the car, and came to £1,600.

They want to know why I haven't paid it... considering the car I collected was OK.

I now assume Vindis Skoda Cambridge sold me a demo car that had been in a whack.

But fixed it up (2,600 miles on the clock and 3 months old) before selling it...

Nice.

I've already sold it though.

I've already sold it though.

I wish I had money like you...

Not that it will make you feel any better but I've according to Skoda UK have a Skoda Superb on my 3 year service plan.

Mistakes happen, it's how the company responds to it that makes all the difference.

I wish I had money like you...

Dont be silly :D
