State Of Charge

Featured Replies

Currently running a 15 plate Aug 1st reg 1.4tsi Octavia currently with 3400miles on it, They do get racked up each month and only have it until 12,500 then it goes back to skoda and I get whatever the lease company has that day come in, After having a read through various threads I came across one which tells you how to check the battery voltage in the multidot, My Battery state of charge shows ---%. What the hell does that mean?

My other skoda showed 80-90% this just has thress dashes.

Car starts ok and no other apparent issues have arisen as yet...any ideas?

Crack a beer, if the car starts and has no apparent issues, no need to worry.

I know if it aint broke...just wondered that's all....I try to get any info I can of here because the lease co do sod all to them and don't bother until they stop or warning lights come on and then it's bare minimum...for some reason they don't likr taking them back to the dealers for recalls god knows why it shouldn't cost them anything.

It means that the built-in "sensor" can't measure the voltage of the battery.

A 5 minutes job, once you know where to find the connectors.

Would that be something you can do yourself or would it have to go into skoda?

Should it of been connected at factory then?

Multimeter would be quicker....

I went to my dealer. It is part of the inspection, but my dealer forgot it... perhaps it's a similar situation.
