Octavia VRS black pack - Parts and fitting

Featured Replies

Morning guys,

I've decided I'd like to add the black pack (mirrors and grille surround) to my 2014 Rallyee Green VRS.

Does anyone know where to source the parts? Can I buy them from Skoda direct? And are the mirrors and grille surround easy to fit? Is there anything I've missed from the black pack?

Your answers would be great .

Many thanks

It's just the mirrors and grill surround. I'm sure you can get them from Skoda direct, although I've never tried so not 100%. Seen them available on superskoda, think they might be original Skoda parts too but not sure on that.

From what I've read on here grille is a bumper off job. And on SuperSkoda website there is a video on how to remove the mirror covers. In fact superskoda have a YouTube channel so seach for them using superskoda.

I think, as long as you are happy to destroy the old grille surround, you can remove it and fit the new one without removing the bumper.

Why don't you try giving your local Trade Parts Specialists centre a call as I'm sure they'll be able to help.  They are easy to look up and I should know as I work for one (admittedly my car has the black pack)

I did exactly same but I had the grille wrapped instead! Cost me £40 you wouldn't tell the difference even if you tried! The mirror covers are available at any dealer at £40 each but again I got mine wrapped black gloss which was £40 for both! I also had my roof done which really makes a massive difference to the looks!

I bought my grill surround from skoda as it was cheaper than superskoda. Think it was about £40

Wrapping will also look good but it depends what colour and finish you want. The black magic looks awesome on the genuine part though and the paint finish is excellent

I replaced my grill surround with the black one too. It's a right royal pain to remove the old one, and you break it to bits in the process (if you don't fancy taking the whole bumper off to do it). You have to break off about 12 little clips around the edge of the current surround to get it out. I used a small (sharp) flat head screwdriver and a hammer to 'cut' my way through each clip. Just be careful not to damage bits it clips onto! Got mine from superskoda, and the black finish matches exactly with the black magic colour of my car.

If its a combi, think the roof bars might be different ?

Correct, black pack = gloss paint on roof rails too
