Angelwax Fast Foam Review

Featured Replies

After using Bilt Hamber Autofoam for the past few years I thought that while I was putting in an order with Angelwax I'd try their Snow foam. So I loaded up the lance by popping about 2cm in it, then topping with warm water. This easily foamed 2 cars. The cars were really duaty due to the farm traffic over here.

So I gave the car a rinse with the pressure washer,

And you can see the absence of beading due to the dirt on the surface.

So I applied the foam and left to dwell while I sorted the wheels. The foam is much thicker than BH Autofoam but that means little to me, as Autofoam has great cleaning ability. So after the wheels were clean I rinsed with the pressure washer.

As you can see, cleaned the grime off pretty well and beading was partly restored. I'll see how it copes in the winter grime, but the initial testing is promising. It cost me £18 for 5l so very good value and didn't affect the lsp whatsoever on the Superb.

More to come when the cars are really bad during the winter!!

Is this pH neutral? Nice review. Looks a good product. I've just started using Envy Bubbly Jubbly and really rate that.

Nice little review there Neil. Good pictures of the various stages and progress.

Looks like a great product and a competitive price for 5L.

I have lots of snowfoam to get through this winter..... but i'll look out for deals.

I'm still a big fan of KKD Blizzard - especially in Tutti Frutti scent!

Thanks Ste. I was up in the air as whether to place an order with KKD or Angelwax, but as AW replaced my Desireable FOC I decided I should return their goodwill gesture. I did fancy the Tutti Frutti Blizzard though, and the Purity-X/Mist-X combo.

Angel wax fast foam is with out doubt one of the best I've ever used. Cracking cleaning ability!

Karl, Hunty - how are you guys getting on with the Angelwax Fast foam?

Coming to that time of year where I replenish my stock - interested in some new options and your opinion on this one....

Thanks in advance.

Angelwax fast foam is one of my Favourites! Cleaning ability is great. Quite highly concentrated too so a little goes along way in the foam lance. 5 litres lasted me longer than any others I've used previously!

Well worth a buy mate!

I cannot compare it to Bilt Hamber autofoam yet buddy as I've not used it on a really dirty car, that will change this weekend!!! Initial feelings on it are promising. You don't need as much AW FF as you do BH AF and if you like 'Foamy' foams then AW is better in  that department, far more dwell time. But I'd be blown away if it cleans better than BH AF. I'll let you know this weekend.

I'll try and locate a recepticle and ping you a sample buddy!!

Totally agree with Neil there. I have how ever used BH auto foam. Both well on par as far as Cleaning power is concerned but I prefer the fast foam as the dwell time is longer allowing you to move round the car to get the nucks and crannies with the brushes etc!

A point you might want to consider when choosing a Snow Foam

(I haven't tried AW Foam BTW)

In my experience of Snow Foams, a long dwell does not equal good cleaning power

If this one does, then fine..You state you like that.....but to me the ability of the product to do what you want it to do......ie.......Remove as much as possible as quickly as possible and safely, is paramount

Look at Magifoam..Championed as having a thick consistency and dwelling a long time...BH Auto Foam , VPro pH Neutral and  Power Maxed SF blows it away in cleaning power

So many newbies to Car Detailing expect a massive amount from these foams. All they are is a stage in the washing process.

We would all like a 'Touchless Wash Product'...Unfortunately none exists yet, but some are nearer than others ...for now

Enjoy the AngelWax Foam

That's the thing. I don't expect a thick foam. I get the consistency just right for a nice thin foam. You can choose if you want shaving foam (which is totally uneccesary or useful) with Angel wax but.. you can have a nice thin foam that sits perfect and dwells for around 7-10 minutes. Enough to do the bits and bats that need doing aswell as see it pulling all the crap off. All these pics you see of foam that covers the whole street Is pointless. That wasn't what I meant though.

My post read wrong Karl. I've used BH AF for about 5 years now. Never felt the need to stray away from it. But as I was placing an order with AW I thought I'd try it. Not used AW FF on a dirty car yet, but it's great to know it is on a par in terms of cleaning ability.

Great point on the dwell time for others to consider! With BH AF, it has gone and is drying on the car by the time you've been around the car with a detailing brush. Whereas AW FF is still dwelling by the time I've been round with the brush and also cleaned the wheels.

Also, great advice on changing the consistency to suit your style.
