SIII TSI 380

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know about SIII TSI 380 model which has been revealed in Chengdu auto show last week?

Could this be 380 bhp / Sportline version of SIII?? ;)  ;)

I have couple of pictures but unable to share due to some error! Will try again in the eve.

Nope, it's not a mis-type as the badge says 'TSI 380'....sorry unable to upload image now. Will try from home in the eve.

Not sure if this variant is only for China though!

Looks like 1.4 & 1.6....lol....but it's been badged as TSI 330 & TSI 380 for some reason  :D  :D  :D  the gold sort of paint is the TSI 380 one but not obvious from these images.

Unless my eyes deceive me - it actually says TSI 330.

And is only one image stating 330?

On Skoda China website, the 1.4 and 1.6 litre Superbs are listed as:

TSI330: 132kw / 330 Nm

TSI380: 162 Kw / 350 Nm

I can't find a reference to 330 or 380 in any of the figures.

Must relate to something though.

It's like they'd started making it all brown and then just couldn't be bothered finishing it! Ruined by the few remaining black bits and the light coloured wood in my opinion.

Almost looks like someone tried to convert the colour at home!

162Kw = 217 Bhp = 379.....

132Kw = 177 Bhp = 309..... Oh well, it looked too easy to start with...

Or is it the BMW school of confusing badges 2 litre 318, 2.5 litre 523. It makes them appear more impressive than their European

market equivalent names
