Are they the superskoda one? I'll take them please PM me you details

Thanks, so they are sealed units then? Or can I fit Canbus compatible LED bulbs?

Anyone know re 'active hood protection'?[/quote

The ones in the link are genuine vw ones. These are sealed units and require coding in.

Thanks, I was really asking if the standard ones were sealed, so therefore cannot simply be fitted with Canbus compatible bulbs?

Hi All, I just did some R&D with a local gas strut business in Melbourne Australia to fit bonnet lifters to my Octavia.  We measured the weight of the bonnet, distance of hinge to mount point and the length of strut required and determined the NM needed to do the lift.  I'm happy to say it was a complete success and they can now supply this kit including washers.  Should be somewhere around A$50-60.  AU guys please follow the below link to make contact.

Even my 1961 Moggy Minor has one....of a sort.

Does the job mind, but on the downside, the boot lid has a stay like you'd normally find on the bonnet!

Yea, work THAT one out ey?

You can use the hatch lifters from a Ocatvia mk1, including the M8 angled balljoint that will fit the bonnet on mk3.

The only thing you need extra is the M6 balljoint in the other end of the strut.

The bonnet will not open at full height, but works great when you need to fill up the windshield washer.
