Went over a pothole, done my alloy not sure if tyre is done though

Done front discs and pads on SWMBO'S scenic. Need a bigger torque wrench for the rear as the bearing is built in to the rear discs. Bloomin french cars.

Did discs and pads all round on my Ibiza, one ceased bolt, one ceased slider pin but all good with shiny discs and pads. Got the ceased pin moving for now, replacement on way. New slides all round too, decent overhaul. Took about 7 hours for both cars and now I'm ducked.

Seized?

Seized?

Yeah that's the one, sorry too tired to see or care much.

Not surprised after all that! I'd be Donald after half that.

It was a case of having to while the weather was dry on a day where I had the time. Just got SWMBO'S rears hanging over my head now, and the new slide pin which won't be much grief. Got a cold as well which didn't do me any favours, I nearly collapsed when I only stopped for lunch.

Just changed my set up.

Piggy back/add a fuse, plugged into a switched live and to positive lead on a cigarette lighter, small wire made up with spade connector one end and fork connector on the other for Earth from cigarette lighter to body ground (behind a bolt on metal frame behind fuse box)

Like so:20160804_172136.jpg

Then with the cigarette lighter I plugged in a 2xusb power source and then bought a Bluetooth to aux module. (£7.99 flea bay). Ran cables behind dash and plugged into connects 2 unit behind stereo. And Bingo, bog standard stream unit now has Bluetooth for music and calls. Total cost including connects 2 around £45-50. No messing around with changing fascia and somewhat keeping stock look but still have climatronic and reversing sensor control on radio and now have Bluetooth connectivity. Excuse the mess she needs a clean20160804_172035.jpg

Picked it up from Northallerton after its night out in the car-park. I might have had a few too many last night/this morning so ended up in a cab.  :cocktail:

Good boy! ;)

Good boy! ;)

What, for going out for the first time ever or leaving the car?  :notme:

Leaving the car. i know of many who wouldn't / don't. :)

A colleague of of mine got up one afternoon after a bender, to walk into toen (about 2miles) and get his car.... which was parked outside. No idea if he drove it home, or someone else did with him in it, tbf the seat was out of his position... he was that kind of drunk though he has no idea.

Also get this for police logic... There was a cop van parked outside the club, so I went over to him and asked if he had a breathalyzer with him to which he replied yes but it isn't working very well. Why the hell did they give a copper a breathalyzer test that isn't working then put him near a club? I tested OK to drive but still. I didn't trust that slightly broken tester enough that if I got pulled I wouldn't test too high. Especially since I had 8 to 10 vodka and cokes over the course of the night. :)

Unfortunately, it got damaged :(

Was at mothers while she was having work carried out. Workmen left a sheet of ply board outside which he apparently leant up against the wall, which fell and guillotined my door mirror clean off. Went to Skoda for a quote today £312

No longer mine but, I drove passed it.

The mirror glass on it's own is about £50!

Ebay is your friend......heated, tinted, and blind-spot remove for way less :) :)

I know, only about a tenner. The Skoda parts guy suggested eBay may be a better option to me.

Yeah that will probably be my route but I had to retrieve a written quote from skoda to supply to the housing associations work team as they will be paying for it.

Just the casing of the mirror from skoda was over £100. Then they charge hour and half labour to fit and paint

Quote for a citigo mirror was 200e to fit after swmbo's was taken off by a neighbour.. would have been more except the colour coded casing survived, just everything got mangled...

Me?

Today i put 25yds of removed floor tiles and grout in the boot , very effective lowering :D then fecked the lot into a rubble skip at the recycling centre, jacking the back end up again about 3inches... tiles are heavy

I did that with bricks in my old Saab. Filled it until it hit the bump stops then took a couple out.

I filled it until no more would fit :D also had a couple of landfill sacks..

Got new shocks fitted to the rear as they ones that had only been on 4 days decided to rupture :(
