Wrong oil in my fabia vrs!

Featured Replies

Keep your eye out for eurocarparts offers as well, they sometimes have some cracking deals on oil. In fact filters as well. GSF sometimes have good offers too but never as good as euro I find.

Get yourself on their mailing lists as they always email out when the offers are on.

I buy GM Dexos2 5W30 ~£30 shipped  or AC Delco 5W40 5 litre ~£31 shipped from Ebay - 502 /505,01 full synth.

I think the GM product is commonly sold to taxi drivers from Vauxhall parts depts at a discount.

I usually buy 4 at a time from a store in Glasgow - great product, great price.

(I have no evidence that it is really Mobil 1 but have seen it suggested)

Thanks Ash and poiuytre111, ill get myself added to the mailing list! So I've bought the oil, sump plug, oil filter and also bought a new gear stick insert and mats for the car. next thing will be the seats need cleaning as there really dirty and stained i think that will be a valet/detailer job though as there bad no rips or tears though with is nice! Then bumper light n/S is cracked so ill swap both so they match, then it's boost pipe time! Then after that it's remap, egr clean or deleted not sure which I'm going to do yet, then it's clean up body work as there's a bit of rust on drivers side back passenger quater panel tiny rust bubbles on both side of back arches on car to scuffs on both sides of arch back bumper and then front bumper respray as it's flaking off, wheels refurbed and sprayed gun metal grey, brake calipers respray, double din stereo and cupra r splitter to finish her off!

Tips on the seats.

Tescos rug doctor is about £20 for the day, so you can get your house carpets dont also :P

 - Some fabric shampoo from ebay £3.75 all in http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fabric-Magic-Carpet-Shampoo-1L-/400950396010?hash=item5d5a81846a

 - some scotchgard £ 7.49 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fabric-Carpet-Settee-Chair-Furniture-Protector-Cleaner-Spray-Aerosol-Can-3M-/190745619293?var=&hash=item2c69532b5d

You can get upholstery cleaner for a £1 ( in the poundshops ) that will be perfectly sufficient to remove stubborn marks, worked for my seats and I had no problem selling them for £150.

Only thing I'd add is not to get too wet as its the wrong time of year unless you are using the car and can run aircon to help dry them out (and don't midn getting your own clothing wet lol)
