build/delivery times?

2-4 weeks. Mine was built week 52 2015 and I had a call from the dealer yesterday to tell me it's ready to collect :)

I'd asked them to give me as much advance notice as possible. That phone call was it. I'm so busy with work, doesn't look as though I'll be able to pick it up until sometime next week. Gutted :(

Well, the new 1.4 L&K Yeti collected today and brought home. I'm rather impressed actually, though I've only done 6 miles in it so far. Seems quieter than previous one, but initial thoughts are th

  • Yippee, new 1.4Tsi arrives at dealer today, having been built week 15. Had phone call asking if they could register it this month to boost their sales figures for April. A full tank of fuel or similar

Been to drop the retention for private plate at the dealers and had a quick play with the car.   Didn't drive it but started her up and much quieter as expected than the diesel.   Satnav/audio uni

Enjoy the waiting; in time, looking back, you'll savour it

i think mine was finished and waiting to go on a boat week 1 2016.

I'm hoping for end of Jan at the latest

Same here... I ordered 'built stock' already at the port (Emden) on January 9th.

It should be shipped over to Sheerness.

There was a Ro-Ro ship that came into Sheerness on Saturday but my Yeti wasn't on it, as the status still shows "Port of exit - released".

I was told it should be here by the end of next week...

Ordered mid December, built last week, should arrive in UK in plenty of time for March collection.

My Yeti will get delivered to the dealer tomorrow. I will go to sign the finance documents tomorrow and collect the car on Saturday.

(Ordered on the 9th of January - stock in Emden. Arrived in the UK last weekend.)

I placed my order on 4th Jan (1.4TSi L&K) and the car was due to be built in week 15 but dealer phoned during the week to say it's been brought forward to week 11 (14 March) and should be ready for delivery 2 weeks later.

Now, I wonder if will I get it before Easter weekend? With my luck, probably not, but at least things are going the right way!

Order an SE L today. Been told 12 weeks

1.2 SE ordered start of January.....due to be built next week. week 5 so should be here early/ mid March.

1.4TSi ordered end of October - delivery mid Jan

Dealer's just reported that my provisional build date has been put back to week 20, with likely delivery mid May.  :(

Given that it's being built by Skoda, I wonder if they're building up stocks of the new SEAT Ateca prior to launch and it's taking priority over Yeti production?

Edited by speedsport

Didn't think Ateca production had started yet?

Reminds me to give my dealer a nudge to see if I have a build slot yet. When I ordered at the end of Jan they told me to expect delivery in early April.

That's a long wait, but will be worth the wait, need to chase my dealer to find out where my new Yeti is as will soon be March, hopefully in their compound.

Ordered ours 3rd Feb & should be ready to collect from Helston Skoda mid April. Be nice to have a phone call saying it ready earlier

Just been told current build slot is 1 May! Bit later than expected, but apparently it may come forward a couple of weeks.

Great!! If yours has moved to May, I doubt I'll have mine in April

I was told 12 weeks - Ordered 31st Jan, told early march build

But was expecting an update Wednesday gone but garage had no updates.

See what Wednesday brings

I ordered my new 1.4 TSI L&K on 7th January and was given a build date of Week 15 (w/c 11th April).  Doesn't seem unreasonable, but then again the time is already dragging.

Looking forward to the upgrade from a 1.2 TSI.

Anyone else done that with the latest 1.4 TSI?

Ordered our 1.4L&K last week in Jan. Contacted dealer last week for an update and told build scheduled for 1 May, but also told to expect that to be conservative to manage expectations.

Does everyone get weekly updates on a Wednesday?

Does everyone get weekly updates on a Wednesday?

No update from my dealer, but havent pushed either, checked the build week in earliy Jan on an Dec order to found it was already in the factory being built, expect dealer to make contact this week as should be collecting next week.

I'd generally expect an update when there was a change, or something had happened. That's certainly what happened when my Yeti was on its way.

Not sure I'd have an awful lot of time for a weekly update, where the dealer just tells me there's nothing to report!

My friend who had a new VW on order was able to track it himself via the VW web site from order through build and shipping to arrival at the dealer. Shame Skoda don't offer this. Ok, for many that's 'overkill' but I'm sad enough to use such an web feature.
