Yes I've got 0%. Someone said you could be better off with 20% discount then 5 % APR. I got a decent discount plus the 0% which was better.

27000 × 0.8 = 21600.

Interest on a 3.5 term with 11500 gfv at 5% roughly 3000 so 24600 total.

Its not loads less what I got but the added comfort of a main dealer is worth a bit too IMO.

Use a broker main dealers are all ****ing useless.

If my dealer had got to within £250 of the online price I would have gone with the dealer. As it was he was well over £1000 out. The online price was 20% off list, while the best the local dealer could offer was less than 10% off.

I'm not sure why I would go with a dealer who a) treated me badly, B) couldn't match the price I had and c) hadn't lived up to much of my expectations over 10 years of previous Skoda ownership - all just because they're 30 minutes closer to me?

Wasn't our friendly garage in spondon who like a lamb chop was it?

When trying to purchase I couldn't even get a price without driving it first :(.

I'd driven pretty much every mainstream new and nearly new car including a new Octavia at the time of purchase. But still no quote without a drive. So I simply didn't bother service and parts are not much better. They are very friendly though :-/

Used carfile. Dealer ended up being rainworth Skoda in Mansfield. Easiest new car buying experience ever.

Yep. Spot on.

I ended up doing the same thing, Rainworth seemed much better to deal with - so much so I did the first service there. Carfile was a pleasure to deal with, I have no idea how that part of the experience could even be improved upon. Considering 3 weeks beforehand we had purchased a 2nd hand Citigo from the dealer - I can honestly say the two buying experiences were worlds apart, and I will never consider a dealer before a broker again.

For the sake of £250 it was neither here nor there, but if they treated me a bit better then I'd have been more likely to spend the extra and maybe they'd get all the service work as well? But they seemed more interested in telling me the quote I already had was too good to be true than in trying to match it, or giving me a reason why they'd be a better choice even though £250 more.

I always found the problem with the Spondon dealer is that any service work info is relayed back and forth between you and the mechanics through the front-of-house staff who (in my experience) don't seem to know anything technical. So no matter how good they are the experience never gave me much confidence, I'd agree the service staff are very friendly though.

I bought through New-Car-Discount.com this year - the first time in over 50 years that I've not used a dealer. Their service was first class, friendly and completely trouble-free and £6k discount on a list price of £34k was the icing on the cake. More than happy to recommend them.

  A Scout is £34 list ?  :D

Does any 1 know who Dtd use these days?

By the time I'd finished adding extras, yes.
