vRS TDi recall campaign - boost sensor

Featured Replies

You can buy a 'Skoda Approved Used Car'.  A Management Car, a Ex Demonstrator or anything sitting for sale now and it might

have outstanding 'Service Campaign' Field Actions, or as they call them now 'Recall Actions'.

Its the Skoda UK way, lack of Communications with Official Dealerships, Clueless Service Desk and Service Managers,

and Work Shop Managers.

Worse is when Skoda UK Customer Services Milton Keynes are less than forthcoming when you enquire on Outstanding

'Field Actions'.

Not Rocket Science, its just a badly configured system, and Skoda CZ / VW Germany lack of decent management.

Mines a late June my16 and it needs to go in.

Anyone know how much work is involved?

I've booked in and told it will take 30 mins max

I'm just a bit miffed that the car was in for warranty work last Monday...... this Monday I find theres a recall...it's a pity their system wasn't clever enough to flag for an outstanding recall seeing as its sitting in the workshop.

I just spoke to the dealer, it turns out the recall being flagged for my car is actually for the CO2 issue.

It's early stages but it appears the fuel consumption and CO2 levels may have been incorrectly reported. From what I gather VW will settle up the VRT & Road tax difference with the Irish government.

Skoda , VW, Seat, Audi have 'Recall Action' Checkers for the NoX Device Cheat.

But the Co2 / MPG Irregularities has no 'Recall Action' as far as known or as being announced by VW,

?

So is it a NoX,  VW FIX Flag up,

http://skoda.co.uk/owners/dieselinfo/check-your-vehicle

(The Skoda UK Checker, the Skoda Ireland one is also available.)

or a Co2 'Irregularities'  Certification of Euro 6 Emissions testing one, which is a totally different kettle of fish!.

Thats because you don't have a vRS tdi.

My MY16 vRS Diesel is showing

"Dear ŠKODA customer,

We wish to confirm that your vehicle with the Vehicle Identification Number you submitted, is not affected by software that may cause discrepancies in the values for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) during dynometer runs."

"Dear customer,

a recall campaign has been found for the entered VIN ******************* "

....as mentioned above the Recall is ONLY showing as a CO2 issue.

Anyone have any information if this Boost sensor recall is a MY15 or MY 16 issue?

Same with mine, checked with skoda and the dealer. Just the co2 issue.

Anyone who had confirmation that there car was affected by boost sensor....was it a MY15 or MY16?

Hi there, spoke to my dealer today and explained what I'd found on the recall checker. They went away and checked the database/recalls etc and said the only recall is the current CO2 issue. Happy days!

My car is affected for sure but I'm model year 14

Took mine in today.  Car was  done in 15 minutes.  Acceleration feels a bit better.

They also found that I need a new gear selection lever on my DSG.  In the past year the error light has come on twice and I could not lock the car as it thought it was not in park.  The error would then go away.  They have orderd the part in for me.

They also had to change the tyre pressure sticker as the info on it was incorrect.

Which MY is yours?

The recalls actions system must have been updated as mine is now showing

"Dear customer,

No relevant recall campaigns have been launched by ŠKODA for the entered VIN TMBKK7NE0G00"

Mine comes up with no recall. My 15 vrs.

However my boost sensor failed a couple of weeks ago and was replaced at home by a skoda tech when I called skoda assistance.

The thing is since it was changed I've noticed a slight hesitation/stutter if I accelerate when cruising at a constant speed in a high gear.

I'm wondering if I've had my failed sensor replaced with a faulty one?

Welcome to my world. Its bloody annoying and they don't know how to fix it.

Mine still showing as:

Even though the dealer called to book it for Monday !

WT%? Mine says no recall-actions for my VIN.

It was part of campaign the other day...

Done today, 20 mins. No noticeable difference but at least it's done

I can only assume that the CO2 issue isn't seen as a recall...quoted CO2 figures are incorrect but there's nothing that can be done to fix them, so the CO2 figures will need to be ammended (with VW picking up the tab).

The NOX and sensor issues require the car to be called back for remedy works.
