Coolant light flashing

Featured Replies

Hey guys, go easy I'm new...

Lately my coolant light has been flashing usually when I first  start up the car. It's not low on coolant or even above. Read something on here one time it may be down to the sensor?

I've been thinking of just flushing the whole lot out and putting in fresh coolant. How would I go about this too?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Not necessary, check the wiring to the header tank by unplugging it and bending a paper clip to short the two pins on the connector, if the warning light problem goes away then just replace the entire coolant header tank complete with sensor, if not then repair the wiring to the connector.

Awesome stuff I'll give that a go! Fitting a cupra splitter to it later so will potch about with it then :)

Thanks

Callum, thanks for that mate! Changed the sensor and seems to be going good so far. Will keep this in mind though it decides to play up again
