Hey there Fred...............quite right.

Well, the poltergeist hasn't visited for a few days now.  But I haven't driven the car!! May have to get her exorcised hehehe

Is this op a ghost writer?

Do you mean a ghost writer off note?

;)

Spent the afternoon at my daughters yesterday 'spring cleaning' the computer. When I went back to my car it was already dark. I got in and didn't realise until I was sitting in the car that all the windows were down?? I'm going to do some testing today to see how long you have to press the 'open' button on the key to drop the windows - has anybody done this already and if so how long do you have to press to open the windows? I wasn't aware of having unlocked the car with more than a quick press and the only other thing I can think of is that I was probably within range when I was sitting at the computer in the house with the keys in my pocket. I might have sat on the key accidentally.

Thought you were on a B) cruise...

I'd take a guess at around three seconds continuously holding the button, and the button has to be held as long as you want the windows to drop (so, for example, if you let go part-way through, they stop).  I'd postulate that with all windows down you may well have inadvertently sat on the key in range.  Or something nearby transmitted the required signal for the required time.

The windows only start lowering when you've kept the unlock button pressed for a couple of seconds, and then only carry on lowering if you keep it pressed. if you let go they stop immediately. Same goes for them closing when using the lock button.

Yep confirmed 2-3 seconds maintained press and stops as soon as released. SImilar to close open windows when locking up.
