Thought the new rates were out as of 1st Jan? The usual broker sites I've viewed have all changed their deals.....there aren't many favourable ones either.

Some new rates have appeared, and some old ones have disappeared!

However, a lot of the lease companies don't return to work until tomorrow. So I'm expecting a few new deals to appear over the next week, especially as January is such a hot month to sell cars!!! ;)

I do think the 335d XDrive M Sport saloon/touring really takes some beating as an all rounder.

Reasonably practical, about as quick a car as anyone needs, a diesel but not that diesel like to drive (so I gather), 40mpg real world economy potential, LCI I gather has also righted most of the wrongs with the stock XDrive suspension so doesnt nees adaptive shocks, not terribly spec'd out of the box either. It could be better spec'd but thats BMs for you.

The 340i is even nicer in certain respects but probably more money for very little performance advantage and will be nothing like as frugal if really used...though the turbo straight 6 does sound glorious.

Chuck the Plus package on either then you get LED lights, HK, sunset glass and one of the pretiest 19" wheels out there...its quite a car.

If you want to go really tight...metallic and leather is of course standard so you can choose a nice colour combo...they also now do an option of a Black 18" wheel for less than £200 that gives the car quite an individual look (better than the stock 18's IMHO) and also rids of run flats in place of Michelin Supersports or something like.

Problem with the M5 is it will be epically expensive to run and Id personally be paranoid to leave it anywhere. Its basically a super saloon pretending to be a practical day to day car...the reality is that it isnt really.....it can do it but who really wants to leave a 70-odd grand car in Tescos car park on a Sunday?

Bit left field but considered a RSQ3? Bit marmite but I love them, not sure if the PCH deals on them are particularly good though.

I do like the 340i, and if the right deal came along.....

As far as the 335d goes, Given the choice I would still rather have a good petrol, but still not ruled out. My heart & head thing keeps swaying from outlandish to sensible, and back again.

The M5 running costs don't concern me too much, my last few cars have all been in the 20-30 mpg range. With my annual mileage being around 8-10k it doesn't add to much to the overall costs, and with a lease the VED is included anyway. Security wise, I'm supposedly got one of the most nicked cars of 2016, so hey ho!

I can honestly say, I'm no nearer choosing my next car, but something will pop along soon and I'll impulse buy like normal :)

Price! There have been some great M5 lease deals, which are cheaper than the M3 / M4. Coupled with the fact that the M5 is so much better spec'd as standard than it's smaller siblings.

To get an M3 to a similar spec as the M5 would be about £100 / month more!

The M5 deal has disappeared as of yeaterday, but I'm pretty hopeful (so I've been told) that a similar one will appear shortly ;)

Ah Ok, my mate has recently bought a M3, I'd noticed the prices of the two are not that far apart but never realised the M5 would be cheaper on a lease.

I'll keep my fingers crossed then!

So far, naff all deals in Quarter 1!

Unless you want an Audi TT (£125+vat/ month), or an Audi A4 1.4tsi (£99/month). Neither my cup of tea though.

I'm gonna sit tight, it's a waiting game ;)

Good idea 999pooch,just have some more fun in the R.

How many miles covered now? Did you say you had to sort put an alloy. What did you do in the end?

I was asked in another thread whether I'd consider a Tesla S. So to keep things tidy I'll answer here.

In short, yes I'd considered. However I would be restricted to the 70D kwh model or at a stretch the standard 85kwh. The lease company I use at the moment is their main lease partner so it would ve straightforward to coordinate the swap. However, and it is a big one, this will be my only car, and I'm not sure the network oop north is developed enough to give me the range and ease of charge I would need. For that reason, I can't be an early adopter, but the car itself looks (& drives apparently) fab.

So I can definitely see it happening in the next few years, just not now :)

nearly 13k.

I'm going to be doing a lot of travelling to Cumbria over the next 2 months, so expect to put a couple of thousand on quite quickly. I'm well under my allocated mileage, so it's all free apart from the gogo juice.

Oh, and there is some fab B roads to zip along where I'm going :)

Oh, and Alloy still unrepaired :(. Doesn't look bad but needs doing before returning.

And if you insist on a list full of beemers surely replace 135i with M2.

FWIW I've got M2 on my list but it's the only non estate. I'm also more inclined bed towards diesel than you as I drive lunar mileages now, and would like to break even on my business mileage

Lovely car, but lease deals at the moment on these are not great.

There were some stonking deals on these and the S8 not so long ago, but all dried up now :(

S4 when it's released?

Had the B8 S4, stage 1. Loved it, great engine, albeit not the best handling car.

I don't think the B9 S4 will be released in time for me this time around. Need a new car in July :)

Looks good, but prices are not very good for leasing. Will keep my eye out on them though in case they incentive the deals :)

M135i on the list purely on VFM.

M2 will be a much better car, but a lease deal on this is likely to be expensive.

My aim is still to get under £11.5k over 2 years unless it's a stonking deal / car :)

I know. Depressing. Which one though, the affordable ones are only 4 pots...

The range kicks off with a 2.2-litre diesel with 150bhp, 180bhp or 210bhp. There'll also be a 'Global Medium Engine' (GME) 2.0-litre petrol unit producing 200bhp, 250bhp or 280bhp, and finally the twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 we've seen already, putting out 490bhp or 500bhp.

The 2 litre 280 would be my choice.

Agreed, at 1500kg performance should be brisk. :)
