M135i on the list purely on VFM.

M2 will be a much better car, but a lease deal on this is likely to be expensive.

My aim is still to get under £11.5k over 2 years unless it's a stonking deal / car :)

You'll also not get an M2 in time for July :(

First UK cars going to customers from April I understand, and with only a small 2016 allocation for each dealer I understand. Plus there seems to be a bit of a waiting list developing.

The M2 is a looker in my eyes in a sea of bland teutonic dullness. It's not quite as achingly beautiful as the Alfa but it's highly desirable in the way that the other M cars are not, to my eyes anyway.

Yep,Jag leasing looks a bit expensive.

This a general quote, not searched for much cheapness if there is one.

Spec starts to bump up cost quite rapidly.

Leases do work in mysterious ways!

Depreciation is a big factor, but manufacturer incentives play a massive part either during launches or run outs.

Just got to spot a good one :)

I very much doubt an M2 will be available on a lease. Numbers are very limited with most dealers getting 1 or 2 cars for the entire of 2016 and these build slots have already been snatched up in most places. Lease companies won't get near one I wouldn't have thought.

Yep, would agree. Won't become a 'lease special' by any stretch :)

My local dealership has a 5 car allocation for M2s in 2016.

Cheaper less powerful model based on Jag figure.

Watch the BMW dealerships, do the Audi RS3 tactic and bump up the used / domo car prices due to deliberate starvation in the market!!

Picked up the little man from footy training today and another dad pulled up in a white M5 - that looked and sounded the business!

Lots of M2 lease deals now available :)

However, the cheapest is £460+vat for a 9+47 8k / year.

That's £31k inc vat over the term. :( says it all for me.

That's a lot. My problem is mileage, it's around 30k a year that makes it a lot more expensive. My leon is more than your quote for the M2!

I'd be interested to know when those companies claim to be able to actually deliver you an M2! :-)

Dunno!! However there are a couple of BMW main dealers quoting lease contracts for the M2.

I guess these are legit, & based on the figures may make them more money than regular cash sales on this car. They also get to get the car back in 2/3/4 years to sell on again. Bearing in mind the depreciation is predicted to be bullet proof on this car, they would stand to make some good money on it second time round ;)

They'll be hedging their bets I'd imagine. Would be interesting if someone was willing to proceed with a lease deal, and get the dealer/supplier to state a delivery date!

Interesting comparison of cars in the similar market place .

3Series and Jag XE

Well, over the last 2 weeks I have rang my local Audi dealer 4 times, and emailed them twice with a genuine request for a quote on an RS3.

I haven't had a single reply :( not even a courtesy call.

Spoke to the receptionist again today who confirmed the guys name who I need to speak to. I told her I've had no success and if she could ask him personally to look into it.

She was most apologetic, and told me he is 'very busy' and she would ask him to call me later today.

No reply :(

I've emailed another dealer this afternoon, responded within the hour :)

I'm not sure about downsizing!! Just an option though ;)

Got a quote - RS3 + £3k options (mag ride, sports exhaust etc)

£2.5k + 35 x £425+vat. 8k / year

How on earth could you keep it under 10k/yr?! :)

Use to do 30-40k, just a boring f4rt now :D

Will probably do 8-10k, so at 6ppm it's potentially cheaper to quote at 8k :)

I'm doing around 40k, pcp is on 20 a year. I'll have to change soon!

Yep, I know how that feels. My commute to work for 2 years was a 340 mile round trip.

I know the A1 / A66 very well!!

Think I've struck the vrs 230 off my list on the basis of the EVO review. I'm a bit concerned that the cupra 290 uses a different lsd unit than the 280. That would be a shame.
