Why is there never any meets in the north east?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking it's about time for a meet maybe in the new year... Every time someone organises one it never happens for some reason!

Anyone up for sharing some ideas where it can be held? And when it can be held?

Jamie.

I agree. Only places I can think of are Dalton Park or the former NPower building between Shotton Colliery and the A19. It would be good to get a meet in the New Year.

Id be up for a meet but like you say it always falls through

I've been to two previous briskoda meets, one was at the metro centre car park (beside ToysRus) and then a previous one was as team valley.

I'd be up for either of those locations again.

As hutchy said really, metro centre or team valley is a good location for a meet.

So who will be up for it? :)

I'm up for a meet sometime, if I'm not at work.

I would be

Metro centres a good spot. Krispy kreme and maccys ;) haha

The last time I visited the metro, it took nearly an hour to get into the place... with the santa/sale season here it might be a bit busy (..but does mean those with woman in tow can let them scamper around the shops in exchange for quality male bonding/car time)

Portrak lane boasts mucky dougs, easy A19 access, subway, greggs and a large B&Q (for repairs)

..its also wonderfully handy for me on a week night  :notme:

The Toys r us part has access and exits all over the place so entry shouldn't be a problem. Wasn't last time we had a briskoda meet anyway, just beside McDonald's as well :)

Im game for a meet like! few of my other fabia friends are too!

Theres a group on facebook called club skoda ne. I think a few people were onabout goin to a meet next month sometime at the metrocentre. Sure there was some mention of getting all the skodas in one spot aswell. Worth checking out

Checked that ground and can't find it.

As said, I'm up for a metro centre meet whenever.

Aye the name of the group was changed recently to north east skoda or something along those lines

Maybe find out and let us know, even post a link so others can join and get this meet sorted?

So which one was arranging a meet at the metro next month?

Need somewhere easy for everyone to get to ,I know you cant please everyone. Be a good idea to all meet up then have a run out somewhere, the Tan Hill meet couple years back was mint but we could do local like the North York Moors, stop off for a brew on the way. Or even for the more adventurous North Yorks Moors over through Castle Howard down to York, some really good roads & scenery too  :D

heres a link to them both

Skoda Owners club north east- https://www.facebook.com/groups/666835906730333/

Skoda northeast - https://www.facebook.com/groups/666835906730333/

skoda NE looks like the better one like!

Have you checked the links? They are both exactly the same. Skoda Owners Club NE (public Group)

Do you mean this one? Skoda North East It's a closed group so you have to join to see posts, like the Brisky FB group page.

metro centre? dalton park?

Im game for either. Just waiting for a date and a few heads to agree. Always seem to just fall through whenever outs organised

Dalton Park sounds good. Next to macdonalds for food, decent size car park and fairly central for all concerned as it's straight of the a19.
