Eibach Pro kit springs fitted to my Elegance 170 DSG Estate with a few pics

Eibach Pro kit fitted to my Elegance 170 DSG Estate with a few quick pics below

Quoted 30mm drop all round, I bought the shorter sport bump stops also

The car rides better overall even on the standard Sachs shocks, similar my VRS estate on H+R springs and Bilstein black sport shocks

Less crashing with the suspension, much less roll when going through sweeping bends, a lot less brake dive and improves the looks quite a bit

If you need any info or help drop me a message

That looks excellent - love those anthracite (?) coloured alloys too.

This is how they should have left the factory! (thank god the MKIII does)

Those Themisto’s are the 1st set that I really like and really suit the car, I am surprised you did not go with the Bilsteins as well though (my Superb estate OE suspension was beginning to show it’s age @ 35K miles)

Hi cheers

Metallic gunmetal.. which is lighter than regular gunmetal.. looks quite dark as the light isn't great and the car is very light blue

Cheers, I am always one for getting my wheels done slightly different from stock

Dampers seemed fine at 105k, easy job to pull them off and pop some new ones on though  :sun:

I initially thought it was Aqua Blue, but then wondered if it was actually silver!

Having previously owned an Aqua Blue MKII I know how difficult it is to capture its true colour.

Looks great! Have you got a square on side picture? Before and after perhaps?

That just looks so right. Can't imagine it being 30mm higher. The Eibach certainly seems quality stuff and what Skoda fit to their 'blue light' vehicles, although in that case gives a slightly higher ride height to take the extra weight.

Its a great colour the aqua blue but like you say hard to get its true colour to show

I wish I did..maybe can get some when its sunny eventually!

I have heard good thing about Eibach and at £120 delivered from Germany it was a bargain

Looking great. I'm thinking about lowering mine too. Did you do it yourself?

Rear springs and bump stops I did myself, you jack the car up safe then use a jack under the suspension arm for support then undo the bolts to get the springs/shocks out

This would only take 30 mins a side at a good garage though

Fronts were local garage I have used many times to swap the front springs/bumpstops and top mount bearings out

2hrs labour max not rushing

Skoda fitted Eibachs to mine, as it turns out might have been the wrong ones for the car but it took them 1hr and I have to be honest it looks better and drives like a different (better) car. They fully support Eibach and it doesn't affect the warranty either.

If its the wrong ones I wouldn't have that!

You need a 4 wheels alignment after lowering though as it throws a lot of the angles out

Yes, that's what I've been thinking too, do the rear myself and leave the front to a garage. I've got 4x4,do you know if that affects the rear springs?

i have never worked on a 4x4 but I can imagine its a little harder, unless you have to remove the outside shaft bolt like the fronts to allow the suspension to drop down etc

a decent garage can easily do it, maybe someone else here has done it?

Is it possible to remove the rear springs using spring compressors only, and not loosen the boot and let the suspension drop?

Probably but I would fit shorter bump stops too as the car can bottom out after lowering as I found out on one of my older mk2 octavias

The damper is quite easy to remove obviously if you have all the right sockets and stuff
