It's MIB1 so the answer is NO, display unit, glove box unit and USB must be retrofitted to use Apple CarPlay. Pls contact me on PM if you are interested.

You should hold down the menu/setup button for 10 seconds to enter the engineering menu.

This will have the firmware update button you need, and the Software Train value that you should verify.
