What was your orginal version for this car?

It's highly unlikely to have killed it, but if you changed versions there could be new coding perhaps.

I can look about for an older version, there are also ways with software tools to force a SWDL (Software Download)

Yes you have 1440 iirc and just need to move around the files on USB to enable it to be seen correct.

Root of drive should be metainfo2.txt

Then 20-30 folders in the next level off the root

That was for @Rachetz32 his update is different to yours.

I replied quickly to 2x different posts, and the forum "helped" by merging 2 posts into one (which can confuse)

Have you tried the reboot or the factory reset on the unit yet?

Can the car see the phone?

Can the phone see the car?

it looks like theres no BT in my car aafter FW Update , that means that the Bolero Unit is not sending BT .

i cant choose the BT menu, when i try to get in there, i get the message "phone is not available"

Best of luck!

Thanks!

@mrlittle I'm afraid file system in your unit is corrupted - such behavior is a typical symptom of it. Unfortunately, in such cases SW upgrade or downgrade is NOT possible - at least I have never been able to have it done.

Assuming I'm right, you have two options:

1. replace the unit with same type - remove components protection and reactivate FEC/SWaP codes by Skoda dealer

2. retrofit MIB2 unit - such units can be hacked so on one hand you spend more money on new parts but you don't have to pay Skoda dealer for his services

I'm really sorry but this is always a risk when running SW upgrade 😞

thank you, but i hope, the problem is because of an component detection or maybe a hardware coding helps

Glove box unit model 5E0035840x where x is a letter A, B, C etc. This is MIB1 unit. If you would like to get MIB2 then you shoul dget 5Q0035840x (x - same as bove) but in this case you must also replace the display unit and, if you want to have new features, e.g. SmartLink enabled, have the unit hacked.
