Vinyl Van Stickers

Anyone had any good or bad experiences from ordering these?

My main problem is that I want 3 different types of stickers (1 rear, 1 front and 2 sides) - most places seem to charge a min of £30 per sticker - annoying as one is tiny (should have been £3.50, but they round up to £30).

It depends how you look at it, if he has to buy your vinyl in by the meter, set up your art work, plot it out, weed it, app tape it, package it, and post it out, then the cost start to add up, plus his time to do it, I've just done a van this evening, 2 sides and rear doors, about 10 words each side and same on the rear, I charged him £175.

Maybe try a few local sign places close to you?

Yeah... read it back well when it's been done.

My brother had his written and work dried up for about 6 months. He thought he'd made himself look too posh and expensive when he'd had the van tidied up and written.

Then 6 months later, he realised they'd put the wrong phone number on it.

That aside though, use a local and get them to put them on, there's a bit of an art to it.

You could try this firm

http://www.harris-signs.co.uk/

No affiliation- just seen how they do things.

And as for wrapping- I & a mate tried doing a firms van once( just a metre square sign)after a respray- don't try it- it's a specialist job. Van advertising- you want it 200% right, or it makes your firm look shoddy.

My mums van has a full vinyl rap on it, if I knew how to post pictures on here I would. You can't miss it when you see it. Whoever gets when she sells it will have a minted met black transit with a mental spec for a van and 155bhp lol.

If done right, wrapping will outlast the time MOST people keep their cars and vans, it's more durable, cheaper and easier to replace than replace than paint, and if the place that's doing it, does it right you'll get a finish as good a paint.

Here's a couple pics of an rs7 I finished up last week.

That started off white to satin black with branding

But back to the op, I get your probably trying to save a little money, but as a guide, if you walked through my doors As a man in a van, and asked for for stickers making to take away, 1 front, 2 sides and a rear, I'd tell you £120 ish If you wanted them fitting I'd be at about £150/160

But also bear in mind, if you have somewhere do them for you, that's competent, all you have to do is drive the van there, they will wash and clean it properly, cut and make everything properly and apply it for you, not to mention you'll get a warranty? What if you mess it up fitting it your self? You'll be out of pocket even more or have a half decent job as opposed to a good looking van? Just my 2p

But have a shop around locally, I guarantee there will be loads of small one man bands like me willing to do the work a little cheaper, I know of 3 sign places writhin 10 mins of my wrap shop. .
