Hi guys I'm contemplating de-badging my superb when it finally arrives!!

Was just wondering what the majority of owners have done in this respect?

I have always taken the badges off on my previous BMW's and Mercedes as I like the uncluttered look.

Would you maybe have a side by photo to compare with badge and without? Cheers

If you're buying brand new, can you not request the badge or badges are not applied at the factory?

I read years ago of BMW offering such a service.

AS did Audi and it was an option at extra cost.

I will post up pictures once I receive the car and de-badge.

It will only be the SKODA and SUPERB badges on the rear that will be coming off

This would be great thanks as I'm curious as to how it would look. How would you do it by the way? Hair dryer?

Some different ways - light wire down the back to release the adhesive; hair dryer on warm heat to loosen too.

 

Use some decent polish to remove the final residue and there you go.

NCO with Mercedes. Usually done by someone with a C180 so they can say it's a C220, C350 etc...

Until someone like myself with a C350 sees it and knows what the differences are. ;)

Mine isn't debadged either!

As above though easiest way is cotton thread or fishing wire. Heat up with a hairdryer, use the wire/thread to remove.

Polish away the residue and Robert is your mothers brother. ;)

Debadging could lead to a bit of confusion.

 

I pick up my SEL last Tuesday, so it was only home in the drive during the darkness. One of my neighbours came over for a look on the Thursday night and his first comments was that he thought I was getting another Skoda and why did I switch to a BMW. He thought it was a 4 (or maybe 5) series!!!!! He was a bit surprised when I told him to look at the badge. Now that he said it I noticed a 4 series and the rear and the front bonnet shape (not grill) do look a bit alike, but Skoda is a 4 door most 4 series are 2 door

I know what you mean, usually its the exhaust that gives it away. Twin steel pipes if <C220.

Are there any holes behind the Skoda logo, or its just glued on there?

 

 

There is a recess that the (round) Škoda badge sits in, there are usually a couple of holes as well.

There won't be any holes underneath the words 'Skoda' and 'Superb'

You can take those off with no worries.
