Featured Replies

Hello everyone :)

Just bought/collected - yesterday :) - Superb 2.0 CR DSG 170 4x4 - Dec 2014 :) only 3k on the clock ;)

Car is great - overall ;) but front seats are killing me :( Anyone knows how/where to get replacement / retrofit ?

Switched from Seat Leon 2.0 FR CR DSG 170 '2010 - with sporty seats :) much more deeper and full leather :) Superb is suede so when you get in - you need to re-seat instead of just sliding in :( Also they are "flat" and head rest can only be adjusted up and down :(

I am guessing if will be your right leg that's killing due to the side bolster sticking into the underside of your leg.

I tried bending the frame out which helped somewhat I will try and find the guide from on the forum...

I came in n to ask exactly the same question! My l&k seats are just not a good shape for me And giving me backache. Heard a8 comfort seats are great but don't know if they would fit and the electrics work..,

I found the seats need getting use to,there are so many adjustments that can be made,so its trial and error until a comfy position is found.then store it.

The lumber adjust is very useful but again its trial and error, the heated seat option has really helped my existing back ache, just wish i had it 25 years ago.

So many options to try.

Yep, I get what you mean. When we first got our MKII, compared to the seats in our MKI, I found them to be uncomfortable, with the well-reported ache that Chunk11 mentions above, on the outside of my right thigh. They do seem to sort-of "break-in" though after a few weeks, and fortunately I didn't have to resort to bending the side frame; they're very comfortable now.

I would echo the above comments I came from an Octavia VRS to the superb and found the seats falt to start with. However once you wear them in a bit they get comfortable. 2 and a half years down the line and I have a very comfortable seat.

Have you got the electric seats? there is loads more scope for adjustment over the manual. My old Octavia Elegance had manual seats and that used to give me problems with my right hip and lower back. I've got long legs and the bolster didn't support it at all.

My last three Skodas have had electric seats so I could bring the front of the seat up to support my leg - no more pain. It took a while to get the right position though.

The slightest adjustment away from that position causes me problems though. That sweet spot is on a knife edge!

Let us know if you find something, I find the Superb seats are not comfortable and like others on here noted the MK1 seat was far better. I wont buy another unless I can sort the seats.

Funny isn't it how we rate the seats. I'm 65kg and 5'9" and think the seats are comfortable. My wife is 5'1" and (ahem) heavier than me, and loves the seats. We have the Elegance heated electric seats and love the fact that the memory function is linked to the key (no more adjusting when changing driver).

Exactly :( I think the main problem is with extra - double stitched - edge.

They are not electric - so only basic adjustment :(

Have you got the electric seats? [...]

No :( To be honest - it feels like they were take from a VAN :( Very simple adjustment :( which could be acceptable - but flat and hard :(

After reading a bit - it looks like there could be serious problem with sensors - so I'll probably buy leather covers and stuff them with extra foam :)

Today I thought that I can - at least - fix the problem with headrest(s) by swapping front with back :)

But no luck :( notches are on the opposite side so it won't lock :(

Careful covering the seats. If you have airbags in them then they may not deploy correctly in a crash and cause more harm than good. Have you got leather in there already? Could you not try and get some seats like in your previous SEAT?
