Engine Management Light and DPF Pressure Sensor

Featured Replies

Just discovered that my Skoda has a faulty DPF pressure sensor. Many thanks to David8 from this forum

Happy to change it myself (£50 online and looks like a 15 minute job - 1 bolt, 2 pipes and located just under the bonnet) but it needs a VCDS reset of the pressure sensor prior to starting so I either need to find a local garage that can do the whole job (Cardiff area) or someone with access to the software to do the reset for me immediately after I change it.

I rang the local Skoda Dealer who want £80+VAT to put it on the diagnostics before they start to confirm what I already (think I)  know.

Alternatively if its viable I'd sooner spend the £80.00 towards the cable and software to do the reset myself but could do with some guidance from someone who knows more about VCDS and whether its capable of the reset I need to do.

All help much appreciated

Before anyone asks why I don't get David8 to do it, I don't seem to be able to get hold of him. I don't think he comes on here after he moved to a BMW (Booooo! :)  )

Thanks.

David8 has been in touch and I've ordered the part.

I can't quite believe the cheapest variant with the same part number I could find was an Audi part though. Online via an established and apparently credible source.
