Its me!! :)

I wasnt sure about posting it up here as I was a bit worried about what people would think of the content. I have not done anything like this before or since, the only reason I did it was my brothers friend was over when I was home (rare) and he had been wanting to see how quick my car was compared to his WRX.

We just did on quick run by my house on a sunday. I have to say I was pleased with the result and with carrying an extra person.

He respects modern diesels a lot more now! :)

woohoo i found it by mistake when i searched for fabia. cool vid m8. i like to see other peoples videos.

Are you saying that a Fabia can keep up with / outrun a WRX Scooby?

As much as I love the Furb's, i'm not sure this is possible...

nice vid...... don't think any animals were hurt in the making of that ;)

Being an ex new age impreza owner running around 270 ish bhp, and a furby owner remapped etc etc, I have got to say that no way ... don't get me wrong, I love the furby but my impreza would pi$$ all over it everywhere except on MPG :-)

A wet road as well, did the other fella need a map to the loud pedal.

Nice vid though, shiiite music.

Why do people always ruin videos by adding music to them?

Why does the caption say "nothing in it" when the Scoobie is clearly sticking to the Fabia like glue ? Is there another version with the Impreza in front? Or did the camera zoom lens not react fast enough?

I think he was just maintaining a safe stopping distance ;)

Chris

a standard wrx bugeye 2001 from a rolling start is no quicker than a remapped vrs to atleast 110.

any exceptions to the above any they are a fair bit quicker!

How dare you! Wash your mouth out, bringing the name of the Furby vRS into disrepute, when it's a well-known fact that the Veyron is just a 4x4 version of the stock Fabia vRS with a few new body panels! ;):D

Heres a novel concept, if I still had the scoob and (if safe to do so) I had a furby going for it in a roll on this is what I would do

ready for it

ready

I would change down :D

Like I said my furby is remapped etc and did we not have a remapped octy vRS recently going head to head on a runway with a standard new age wrx wagon and losing out slightly.

I love my furby, it's a remarkable little car, it truly is but it's NOT an impreza beater or even matcher. unless anyone has scientific proof otherwise.... I will trust my previous ownership experiences. My old remapped V70R AWD would have mullered the scoob btw.

I had a tussle with a Colt CTZ down a dual carriageway a couple of months ago one night (I posted it) and there was no way I could get past when rolling onto the dual carriageway and I just got to 90 ish and let him go. Not sure if it was mapped or not, but it was quick.

On topic, it is still a cool video though.

nop ;) :P

we had a remapped Octy 4x4 loosing by a similar ammount too.

Now where is bengie gone?

I am not argueing that the Impreza is a much better car, i'd love one!!

But...That particular version ISNT quick for a scooby. I posted on Scoobynet about it and they commented on how it wasnt a surprise.

Like I said, ANY and I mean ANY other derivative or a scooby would mince a vRS and even a tuned up one would. but a completely standard 2001 bugeye wrx wont from 20 onwards let's say to atleast a ton. FACT.

D'you not think, that, if all your gonna do is sit here and try and prove your car is better than a Scoob that maybe you should go buy one?

The fabia vRS is a good car, the Octavia vRS is a good car, but they are FWD, and are quite simply not upto the Subaru level, they wouldn't suceed in that market as anyone with that sort of money isn't gonna want a SKODA.

People always winge about how people are prejudice to SKODA owners, but with this sort of rivalry sparked by yourselves, are you really suprised?

Commendable comment

Does no one else feel that racing on a wet public road that does'nt even look straight to be stupid?

To then post the taped footage?

Geez..

tbh, doesn't really look like he was racing rather slow going really unless thats just effect of the video:confused:

Good use of indication to

Just as stupid to try and race a Scoob in a Fabia...

That was a bit harsh...but he does have a point, road safety is quite important.

you keep posting those pics phil but they are from totally different perspectives, i was no where near that far behind the scoob and he didn't girl it off the line when i raced him :P

I was no where near that far behind the scoob

It was much further :P
