I'd point out that yesterday he did say to you that he was from Bulgaria, in the Dubai motorshow thread. He said it was near Greece, you explained that you were from Cyprus......

Phil, you mean Kuwait isn't in Europe? When did they move it?

;)

Of cource Kuwait is not in Europe

PMSL at this thread, love it...

For £7k, I'd be looking at something other than the 2 cars you mention. Maybe a 1.4 Fabia would be more the ticket? Or, there are other manufactureres out there! ;)

For £3800, my brother picked up a flawless Renault Megane Fidjii, leccy everything (even the back windows), nice and nippy 1.6 16v engine, 44mpg average, group 7 insurance, 28,000 miles and 20,000 service intervals. Not suggesting you buy one, but a cracking car for the money.

Back on topic before Mr Mil shoots someone........

I may have got the wrong end of the stick here, but are you talking about a 2.0 Fabia ESTATE!?

If so, you need your head looking! You are 17- you will look like you've borrowed your Grans car! And since you have the 100bhp 1.4 already, there isn't a lot of point getting a 2.0- the extra performance is pretty marginal.

As for an Octy vRS, great car, but really at 17? Again it will look like you've borrowed your dads car, and even in a couple of years you will struggle to insure it.

If you really have £7k to spend (as I read in one of the other posts) I'd get yourself a nice Polo GTI on a Y-plate, get your mum to insure it this year and then use what you don't spend out of the £7k to insure it next year.

Or alternatively keep your car (which sounds as if it is pretty nice for a 17year-olds car) for a couple of year and keep saving. By that time the £7k will have grown, and more cars will be viable as you'll be able to insure them.

I'm beginning to dislike most of your sarcastic replies.

In much the same way I dislike replies in a language that 99% of forum users cant read.

You could have been saying anything to us/me for all we know.

id wait a few years before going into a powerful car, until you gain experience, im not being cheeky. if you really want to tho, and your mums insuring it, id go for the octy vrs and get it tuned to the moon.....

No need for Mr Smart I am afraid' date='

2.0 fabia @ 115 bhp

or

Octy vRS @ 54?????? maybe a few more than thatl[/quote']

A bit more............if mine had 54 bhp I'd shoot myself  At the last check mine had 216 bhp :D :D

Couldnt of put it better myself! Get neither, look around. Find a bagrgain - dare I say it? A diesel, save some money and think about something more sporty later...

If you get a vRS at 17 what will you move on to next? Most other cars on the road are dull as dishwater compared so you will have little to look forward to...

Get me?
