Is it my imagination that...........

Featured Replies

everytime I get up close to my Yeti, I hear a click?  That's even before I press a button on the remote?  Is it recognising something?  And no, the doors are still locked.  Poltergeist again? :D :D :D

Magnetic personality?

any new hips.

"everytime I get up close to my Yeti"

How Close is Close?

Could be someone watching you unlock & reading your infra red signal.

Only kidding, I'm pulling your leg....lol

Your heart skipping a beat  ?

Does your neighbour have a firearms certificate, and is there a red dot that appears on your chest just before you hear the click...............?

You know they say that over time some owners begin to look like their pets?

If you follow the typical demographic of a Yeti driver, your Yeti probably has the onset of arthritis.

Now excuse me while I mosey on back to the hip, hop and happening Octavia II Section.

Can we cross reference this with post 10 in Rusty Bits..... just in case.

OK OK petrol heads....... :D :D :D

No hip replacement yet .....however my career as an undercover agent may mean that I have special powers......I will consult with Clark Kent and come back to y'all!!

Obviously, none of you have anything better to do than think up funny comments......which leads me to believe that this is a car for elderly, retired people.  (Of which, I am one, of course).

But ...disregarding the funny comments, this is odd ......perhaps I should pop-in to my local (toooooo close) friendly Skoda dealer and seek advice.

Just think its a bit weird is all.

Is it garaged when it happens or it on the 'High St' as well?.

To get a sane response I think you would need to describe all the factors incl engine temp, ambient temp etc etc

(I get a bimetallic switch type 'klick' near the tv which has me beat also)

I'm sure your local Skoda dealer will be more than happy to charge you for an hour or two of labour to check it out.

Regards to the click;

When does it happen?

How often does it happen?

Is it one click or several?

Does the click appear to affect the vehicle, it takes a while to turn over/it runs rough?

Is it at only one location, or several?

Where on the vehicle does it appear to be coming from?

When did you first notice the click?

Does it happen when the engine is hot?

Does it happen when the engine is cold?

Does it happen everytime you approach the vehicle, or only at certain locations?

If only certain locations, where are these locations?

What are the environmentals at these locations?

Is there someone in the vehicle when it happens?

Does it only happen during certain weather conditions;hot/cold/raining/icy?

Is it just KESSY reacting to your approach (as it should).

And what is KESSY if I may enquire?  Engine is cold when it happens.  I am a couple of feet away.

It's a 'proximity' key that opens the car etc as opposed to pressing the 'open' part of the key fob.

Hmmm.......but it doesn't open the car.....I tried that.  Oh well, another 'puter mystery.

If it's just a click your ok but if it's a clunk click watch out it might be the ghost of Jimmy savile ooooooooooh.
