Phonebook Photo display Octavia 3

Featured Replies

Hi,

New member here so hello from me

I'm having issues getting the phone book to display the photos assigned to my contacts on my Iphone 6 can any of you suggest a way to solve this?

Thanks in advance folks

I'm pretty sure iOS doesn't support sending contact photos by Bluetooth (at least it didn't work when I bought my mk3).

If I remember the threads correctly, iOS doesn't provide the Bluetooth protocol to support this favouring AirDrop, AirPrint etc instead.

Thanks boo shame about that really

I wouldve been asking this too.....

Does it support photo display via apple play?

I've noticed contact photos displaying in the message app, so I imagine they also appear for the phone app too.

I have just changed from a Nexus 5 that needed a phone book app to show pictures on Bolero. Now got Motorola x play & so far no pictures appearing on my radio even with this app. Need to find time to experimental

I guess it should do because CarPlay is just screen sharing so whatever is displayed in your app should be displayed on your Entertainment unit display..

I think it was the same reason for Android phones as well. Some brands don't include the Bluetooth protocol for contact photo transfer.

I think Samsungs were OK, Nexus didn't work.

There were a few threads a while back about this in the O3 forum.

Most offered a solution of flashing a custom ROM Android like CyanogenMod but this comes with its drawbacks like crappy camera drivers & camera app.

If you think your phone should support it, you could try the Skoda Update Portal as there are updates available for the Parrot Bluetooth interface for Columbus.

In my case (Lumia 640) pictures showed up and then, after some time I noticed they were gone...no clue why.
