@lol-lol Are they actually plugging in and charging them before and during shifts? Taxi drivers will use any old crap if they running costs, lease, daily / weekly costs look low.

More likely to plug in a PHEV with fuel costs higher and if rationing comes in, thought i saw a news article saying limits of £40 a fill and others that only doctors, nurses etc could fill up.

Would still consider a non hybrid Sandero. Cheap to buy and 60 mpg plus a good option which it gas been either top or 2nd in European sales year after year. My Logan ie estate Sandero was brilliant value. £10k to buy about a decade ago, 60 mpg, about 500 litres of boot and l got a grand back when traded back in after 3 years, super bargain.

I recently heard Skoda (and to a lesser extent Hyundai and Kia) are forging themselves a new market segment of "premium economy".   Much like the rise of Aldi and Lidl in the supermarket sector, a l

My Son has just bought a Dacia Sandero 1.2 75BHPish Petrol and he loves it. Just over 6K I think he paid.   Bought it on Finannce to get the 5 year warranty/Full RAC cover then paid the Finannce off

  • Is Dacia the new Skoda? Could be....new models will certainly push value and brand upwards as more and more folk realise that badge snobbery exists for all the wrong reasons nowadays. The 'premium' br

If you have to plug in and get 15 kWh @ 65 pence that is £9.75 to get maybe 40-50 miles. So maybe some that can charge at lower costs, home, depot, overnight public at cheaper tariffs might. 15 x 30 pence £4.50. @lol-lol I am looking for an estate. Will look see Corolla,s. I had one decades ago that was an Import from Middle East. Champagne Gold with brown velour.

Always was the Japanese marques took all the top 5 reliability positions. Now its harder to tell as Japanese companies are pairing with Chinese ones, the new interesting Mazda 6e is basically a Chinese car, not that that is a bad things these days.

Being a Renault-Dacia-Alpine-Mitsubishi-Samsung-Infiniti and beyond Group fan following their changes.

Sad that Renault has stopped F1 engine manufacturing but so pleased to see the Alpine was the fast car at the Chinese F1 GP, after being the slowest car last year. After numerous Skodas, a couple of Audis, couple of SEATs so sad to see the demise the the VAG Group, another 50k redundancies announced recently.

Yes Dacia is clearly thew European value car brand these days but the Chinese are coming !

New Pruis is pretty good. Taxi drivers would not use by the bucket load if it was not very good. The little 8 kw motor on the rear wheels, brilliant, 4x4 on the cheap. On the other hand their launch of the BZ4 was disastrous. It took Bjorn Nyland to tell them their battery buffering was all wrong !!!!

TBH they are only really using them because they've been forced to... many would rather not...

Cat N... Avoid IMHO.

It's an economic write off so repaired and may be fine but will probably suffer from increased insurance costs and is it worth the risk?

I'd want to know what wrote it off. Did it have an argument with two bulldozers and a Humvee, or was it a new wing and headlight? If it was minor, but costly, then that wouldn't put me off in itself. The 1.2's a good little engine, just needs to be kept well topped up with oil to keep the cam chain happy.

As skomaz, I'd probably check insurance costs, just in case the Cat N makes it stupid money - I doubt it, but best to play it safe.

Go by condition, and what the car feels like. Could do you a good turn.

Gaz

They've knocked another £100 today , its 11 year old with 7 previous owners , hmm seems a high number in that period of time

That number of previous owners might well be a warning flag.
