0-60 from the line (Or the Severn Bridge toll) was about 7.5 seconds

I came home via the A420 and got to one of the dual bits on it. A blue 51 plate WRX was an unwilling victim' date=' we both floored it off the roundabout and the Furby just pulled away. The look on the drivers face will be with me for a long time :D

It wasn't big and it wasn't clever but I had to do it at least once ;) [/quote']

Don't worry you'll do it a lot more than once ( a day):D

Hi all,

Just spoke with Adam at AMD and they have 3 one-clicks left in stock. They have just put one aside for me and I'll be popping down there on Wednesday to collect. Looking forward to it

Anyone else have any reviews / further reviews?

I ordered mine last Monday afternoon. Not had it still!, so rang 'em an hour ago. A lady named Jay got back to me and said its in the post (recorded delivery). Gotta call back Wednesday if its not arrived. Blasted Xmas post! I wanted it for the drive over to Betwys-y-Coed for the New Year as I've got my mate 'Mike mkIV Tdi' as a passenger.

I'm getting doubtful that I can get it back to them, then them to me in time.

John. :orb_mad:

Because of the christmas post I decided to just go down and collect mine. It does have other benefits, like Adam showing you how to use it!!!! Also you may get a mini tour round the workshops which is nice.

I went down on Saturday to collect mine - IT IS AWESOME. Hit 110 MPH and it used to really struggle to keep picking up speed, now it seems like its got loads left.

At first I wasn't sure I could tell the difference, but drive it a couple of hours and you really start to become aware of the power.

Also, when driven normally it drives exactly as the stock code so its really nice knowing that the car can be driven nice and sedatley but you always have oodles of power at your disposal.

It a great piece of kit and I love it - it will be worth the wait in the end.

Also, Adam told me that only half of the people on the list had contacted them so far, so guys, if you put your name on the list then just ring them to tell them that you want it - you may also want to tell them when you want it, even if its into the new year.

Again, a huge thanks to all the guys that put their name on the list - a fantastic prive for a reversible map. Also, my GF's dad has his own garage and is a specialist in autoelectrics and ECU's. I reversed my AMD map and asked him to interrogate my car to see if there was anything on the ECu that shouldn't be there. He could find no trace of the AMD map - just the stock Skoda Map. If he cant find it, and he was looking for it, i very much doubt that a dealer would spot anything. Thats not to say its impossible - just very very very unlikely.

Will

I received mine in the post today (it was sent on Friday rather than Thursday by my request). I have loaded the stock code after using the info you guys told about getting to the ECU port thingy. 30 minutes later I'm at the Post office to do a one day special delivery back to AMD. Hopefully I might have it back by the end of the week......can't wait :D

If anyone has anymore looks on peoples faces stories, I'd like to hear them!! Also another thanks to Will for arranging this deal, it really was a good buy indeed!

'Ad it!

Downloaded factory preset and posted back (Special Delivery) in less than 15 mins.

So they should get it tomorrow.

Might get it in time for the drive to Betwys-y with "mk IV Mike"!

John.

Will, glad you like it.

But I beg to differ about it driving like stock. I think its much less peaky, and more pleasant to drive due to the iincreased smoothness. Put it back to stock and you'll see what I mean!

And couldn't tell the difference? WTF?

Cheers again pal, great group buy - looking forward to an AMD rolling road day in the new year! ;)

well lucky you for all those that have received their units and are upgraded.

I have not been so fortunate as the poxy thing has still not arrived, and depsite apologies from AMD and promises of delivery on wednesday the unit has still not arrived. I am not impressed to say the least as this is going to make xmas day interesting when the present hasnt even arrived let alone been fitted to the car. :thumbdwn:

For those that have been upgraded does it acutally feel like a 20+bhp gain? One user has said they didnt even notice the remap and that leads me to beleive i might be getting my hopes up a little to high for when the unit eventually arrives.....

Oggs .....you have PM

Havn't received mine either.

Havn't received mine either.

I'm still waiting too.:whip:

I got my remap back today from AMD. It only took about 2 minutes to install and it seems very good. I was a little worried at first the instructions say that when it finished uploading the remap that the green light is on. Mine had the green and red light on, I called AMD and they said that that is fine.

I have only had chance to drive it home from work 30-35 miles. My first impressions are:

When driving normally the economy is the same if not better than the standard map.

The powers seems to be delivered smoother than on standard.

The power isnt in your face but when you want in there is loads more there.

I floored it a few times on the way home and even after 4k rmp there is still plently of pull.

Does anyone have a map plot of BHP and Torq for this map, just out of interest I would like to see how the power is delivered.

Out of curiousity, how did AmD post the device to you? Was it Royal Mail Special Delivery, 'Signed For' or another courier? Still no sign of mine.......

They posted it to me Royal Mail Recorded 1st Class. I called them on the Monday after the GB finished at 9am. It then arrived on that Friday I then sent it back to them within about 30 minutes Next Day Special Delivery. They got it on Monday and I recieved it today (Thursday)

They first posted mine to me Thursday, received it on Monday, I plugged it in and returned to them Special Delivery. They received it Tuesday and sent it back on Wednesday and I received it all done today.

Considering its Xmas I was stunned at how efficient it all was! I think you must be unlucky mate.......are you sure your postie doesn't have a vRS ?

Whatever you do when you send it back to AMD use guaranteed special delivery at 4.95 or something, it guarantees next day before 1 p.m. also covers the goods up to

Haven't got mine yet either:confused: I ordered mine on last Monday morning. Chased them on this Tuesday they said it would be in the post that day. Getting frustrated now, I just want to play!

I agree with you totally. Its nice and smooooth, but still a healthy increase in power over standard.

When you swap back to the standard map, it really feels horrible.

I can't believe that AMD would mess anyone about. Have all those who haven't received it actually contacted AMD at all?

I've phoned them twice now, once at end of last week and again at the beginning of this week.

It must be the Christmas post .........it's probably muder waiting for the one click to arrive but patience is the answer......that or go up and collect

Got mine about 15 minutes ago. Now off to the Post Office to send it back!:)

It's not the Christmas post as the system is clear now. I work in the system and know! I'm prepared to eat my words if it arrives tomorrow (Xmas Eve) but I can't even raise anyone from AmD on the phone today.

I wanted the re-map before next week as I will be covering a lot of miles then, so the GB came at the right time, so it seemed.

As for driving up there - not for me thanks, it's a bit far, although it would always be the recommended answer.

Ah well, c'est la vie.....I'm still patiently waiting in vain...:)
