One-Click GBers. Had it yet?

Featured Replies

I drove from Manchester to Bicester to get mine. Well worth the trip and prevented any frustration of having to wait around for post. Plus it is done there and then.

P.S. So guys, dont be lazy, just fill up and set off.

I checked my one-click was sent recorded first class delivery for anyone who needs to know that. For all those people waiting, its worth the wait :D

I have been totally impressed with AMD from start to finish,, when I phoned up the people there, they couldnt have been more helpful!!! Top class act in my opinion! and I am really glad i got into this group buy (albeit with minutes to spare!!)

I haven't really pushed my motor yet, tbh I don't need to :D:)

LOL, ten years ago I would have done, but unfortunately with my job this time of year plus having a family and house to run that's easier said than done. I'll jog AmD's minds again when they re-open after the break.

I think it's about time I came clean and owned up that I also have a One Click now my bro put his name down for me and damn I've had some fun. The most fun I've had is when ****'s go revving their nuts off at me then I just have to oblige and leave them behind, I generally slow down then let them have their glory and p1ss off. I went by one of my mates the other day to say hi and give him a spin, but he was on his way out with a friend in their 205 GTi Mi16 I believe (but could just be his fiddled 1.9 as he's had many) so he followed me and after a roundabout we went for it. To say the least I was impressed, they were gobsmacked that I stayed ahead and had it not been for other cars ahead they thought I was going to pull away. Pleased me and I still ended up with 47mpg at the end of my journey back from Milton Keynes to Brum.

Only thing is I have to remind my bro that the car has 6 gears and to close his mouth every now and then.

Very happy chappy.

Hi All,

Picked up my One Click on Wednesday after driving to AMD. You will notice the difference with a one-click. It's not like it transforms the car into a complete monster, but it is noticeable and very smooth. The torque now comes in more progressively rather than the big sledgehammer effect at 1900rpm but there is definately more of it! It is also a lot smoother, not only in boost characteristics, but also general on/off throttle behaviour. I have not had chance to switch back yet as I drove the car home and then put it away for Xmas (I'm typing this in Canada at present). However the 50 miles I did drive, did bring a smile to my face. You guys will love it!

Forgot to mention, when using full throttle and then lifting off gives a nice little dump-valve stlye wastegate noise (best heard with the windown down). Bring on driving in the summer!

:bump:

Anyone else had their one-clicks yet?

I had mine a while back now... I'm fairly happy with it, but not as happy as I'd expected to be. I'll be saving up for a few more mods then going for the custom code remap at JBS I think.

Lucky You!

I'm still waiting for the upgrade return. If I don't get it by Saturday morning, I'll have to drive 'mkiv-Mike' to Betwys-y-Coed (via the A5) with a mere 140 (ish) BHP, relying solely on my Eibach-inspired 'Stig-type' cornering. ;)

I'm bound to annoy some ****er and get involved in a race. :D

It'd probably be safer all-round if the damn thing would just ARRIVE ffs!

Mind you, 'mkiv-Mike's a nutter anyway. He wrote-off his Corrada by taking a 90 degree bend (just after the entrance to 'Wynatt's Pass') far too fast, in fog and ended up taking out the drystone-wall on the edge of 'Mam-Tor'!

John. :)

Still havn't received the initial shipment yet!!! Hopefully arriving tomorrow.

I phoned AmD on the 28th when they re-opened after the Xmas break, and they still couldn't find out what they had done with my order. They said they would phone again today (29th), it's now 11AM and still I wait....

Oh dear, some of these stories don't sound inspiring. I'm just about to ring up to sort out mine :(

Fingers crossed...

Steve

I got a phone call today from AMD, They said that they were just checking that I have ordered and or recieved my One-Click. Sounds like they have been getting a bit muddled up with who has ordered and who has got it yet.

Anyone had any problems getting through to AMD? I'm on hold with them now, coming upto the 20 minute mark!

I checked Royalmail.co.uk to track my 'Special delivery' return. It was in Bicester by the next day 22 / 12 / 05.

Okay, so we've had the Xmas break, but I've been back at work 3 days, so I was hoping it would have been back to me by today. Just tried to phone AMD, but after 10 mins of "70s porn - flick soundtrack" and "Your call will be answered soon" (back to Carlos Santana).....I gave up. They should be open till 6.00 pm, so I'll try again. If not, they're getting an email.

All I can say is, this had better be good when it finally ****in' arrives!

John. :orb_loser

Yes, very ropey hold music :thumbdwn:

I just sent them an email straight after the line went silent, so I'll see if they get back to me via that method. I've got better things to do than sit waiting on a phone line...

Poor people :(

I love mine :)

Tempted to drive down, like you, and get it sorted in one go! 275 mile round trip :rubchin:

Steve

137.5 of those miles will be fun :)

That's true!
