0-60 in comfort I say

Should be under 10 secs if you have the climate control off.

Whoops  will have to try again with it off and only one person in the car :D

However fast the wind is blowing for me.

I leave 0-60 for the kids..

10.4 seconds but obviously that's a basic model (well as basic as Superb's get) in ideal conditions with just the driver and no baggage on board.

8.3 secs is good going Octygone. Out of interest, how do you know it's 8.3 seconds?

Really high tech........a stop watch :D pretty certain with only one person instead of four in the car that could get down to near 7 seconds.......makes it easier to drive, overtake etc....and the mpg is still the same

Jeepers, that's like knocking 30% off your 0-60 time. Sounds like money well spent. I thought these things could maybe knock a second or so off but that's brilliant. Wonder if it works for the OctyII.

Well, the quoted time for the Fabia vRS is 9.3. As standard, 8ish, and remapped, under 7. :D

I'd expect your Superb to be getting under 8.

Doesn't sound like an accurate way of recording. I used to do that with my old CLTDI golf and got 9 seconds with a tuning box (110-115bhp) not bad for an 8 year old 135k miler:D

Are you sure your speedo is accurate enough to know when you reach 60? Can be up to 10% too high so may not reach it until 65 showing.

According to the origin sat speedo it is 1 mph slow at 60....so I went from 0 to 61....can't do it in the wet though ...serious torque steer and the car can crab sideways :D

8.3 seconds to 60 in a heavy boat like the superb  Don't let the Fabia drivers hear of that or they will be quoting sub 5 seconds 0-60 ;)

What is the technique to get it to accelerate that fast - do you get out of 1st as soon as possible and use second?

I thought the torque steer in my Octy vRS was severe but almost going sideways ... that takes some doing ;):D :D

2 up and a half tank of fuel to be accurate if such a thing exists in this corporate world...

What power you running?

No offense to you Mr. Octygone, with all due respect, I find it funny how nobody has bashed you in for claiming a time like that when you own a beautiful looking barge, very heavy, and it can do that time, whereas if I were to claim something like that I'd get a good one.

All has to do with age I guess doesn't it...:)

It's a diesel so no point thrashing it, change up early and let the torque do all the work.

Hi Mil .......I can only guess they're stunned  ....it's around the 180bhp mark.....and it's getting on for 150 to 200 KG heavier than a Furbie.....but it does go quite well.......if I get a chance I'll get an unwilling volunteer to sit in the back and video it (will need the long lens on for that distance though :D )

Tom-vrs and walkie know it goes quite well when traffic allows,

The torque steer has a bad habit........it drags the car to the right ...straight into the oncoming traffic :o

Any chance you could give me some more information on this 'Dragon Box'? I am looking to chip my Superb after the KW have been fitted before the New Year and I am wondering which chip is the best and how much it is going to cost me?

Any feedback would be appreciated, I like the sound of this 8 secs!!
