Fabia Power Steering

Featured Replies

furbie is being traded in in 18hrs and 14 mins cheers for the offer though

K, I thought that there were 3 settings for the power steering adjustment for the Fabia, rather than a variable range as indicated in earlier posts and on SEATCupra (I think)? Is it that Skoda only recommend 3 setting points?

I've noticed when my sub is banging away, the headlights do seem to fade a little bit in time with the bass... Quite amusing for my mates to see. I wonder how much juice the speaker is using? I did only really notice this phenomenon at low revs & tickover, like Neo_VR. :speaker:

nice!

back in the early days, i used to have a Cavalier 1.6 with a kickin system in it. i had to turn it down in traffic jams because the head unit would cut out because of the power drain was too much for battery and alternatior to handle at idle.. it was a uprated alternator too :D

The trouble is I can also get the dipped beam to fade just by flicking the two buttons for the leccy windows at the front to "up" - when they're already up. That seems to drain a bit of power too, although not as much as the stereo system in the boot. :speaker: :D

edited to say I've just realised it's not the sub that's sucking up the juice... It will be the amp.

that is correct 3 settings for each axle/engine set-up

Yes there is only three setting listed in the manuals for the Fabia/Ibiza/Polo but all the codes will work on all the cars. Control unit code 00151 in address word 44 will stiffen up your steering a treat.
