Is beige that bad?

It's a OAP's choice for a 1970s BL car. Enough said?

In that light I couldn't tell what colour it actually is.

Did skoda used to have a darker shade of silver a few years ago

I'm not saying i don't like silver - I just don't like highly reflective silvers

Brown cars, just say no.

Fiat have some particularly minging colours on the 500 right now. Including Baby sick, and 70's toilet blue.

It's all in the name, and specifically that word. Like Tilt posted above, you'll see several manufacturers using something similar in colour - Audi, Jag, BMW, but they don't call it beige, I don't believe. My previous Saab was a dark metallic bronze, but they called it Smoke Beige. Nothing like beige.

If Skoda called it something exotic, it'd be a big seller. One of my old cars was a Vauxhall Chevette, that was a metallic coppery bronze. It was called "Champagne Starfire Metallic".

Now that Fiat, that IS beige.

IIRC it was Alpaca Beige. post-70322-0-70158600-1460648176_thumb.jpg

Even Available Car had the sense to call it Metallic Gold.

Most people like it, or at least say they do, Lol. It looks different in different light. I like the individuality of the colour, and the colour too.

Sorry but not for me as an interior colour, beige is putrid and so 70's.

Not liking brown/beige or aubergines

Still wouldn't mind Bentley's Notebook Beige Interior. ;)

Yup :D

It's really bad for resale value as well. At the moment White is best, but that changes with fashion. Beige/Champagne/Gold is never desirable.

I had to endure that colour for a week on a Fiesta courtesy car, last year.

Must admit my mk4 Cortina 1979 was similar brown and had the classic vinyl roof to match :(

I suppose it's personal opinion but my 500 Abarth is in the "hearing aid" beige and loads of people say how nice it is.

Lol yes, plenty being sold so the colour must appeal to plenty of people.

Fiat salesman told me that those colours were the original colour choices for the first 500.

The only two colours I considered were the Rally Beige and Legends Blue, the two you think are minging. :D

If I'm being honest I don't think it suits a normal 500, but on the Abarth...... lovely.  :p

I'm notoriously picky with colours. I could only consider the VRS in Race Blue when I got one. I quite like the green you get now but that wasn't available then.

I particularly hate the colours of Minis right now, especially that rather sickly tomato red.
