My new 2.0 Business 150

Featured Replies

Lease up on the 14 plate 2.0 140 and if it ain't broke don't mend it so Superb no. 3 was delivered today. An hour driving round town shows me that it's a bit quicker off the blocks, the ride is more comfortable and there's a lot more gadgets to get the hang of.

Two questions;

1) Are there any glitches I should be aware of (such as the propensity to stall that hasn't been ironed out yet)?

2) Anyone want to buy a couple of hundred now-redundant CDs?

I know what you mean, didn't realise that there was no CD player until I got my car last Saturday, took all the CDs out of my old car and then started looking for the slot to put them in the Superb. O well gives me job to do this weekend transferring them on to a SD card!

I never stalled all my previous cars put together as much as have stalled my s3 150 diesel in the space of three months. My dad found the same when he drove it. Glad I'm not alone.

Only Columbus has a CD/DVD drive in the glovebox. The Amundsen and Bolero are without.

In this digital multimedia age the optical drive is becoming more of a rarity, heading towards oblivion like audio cassettes and VHS tapes (not to mention the mechanical handbrake!!!).

Whaaat? I assumed the cd was in the glove compartment. Bah. My little girl is going to be gutted she can't listen to the Frozen soundtrack ad infinitum when the new car arrives. Me? I think I'll be able to let it go...

Does the SE Business have a USB slot next to the 12v socket in the compartment near the gearstick? Rip your music to MP3 and you've got all the music you want on tap.

That's easy for you. I've only just got beyond 8 track. It has a USB port, by the way.

8 track!!....stuff of dreams, try using my gramophone on the dashboard with the record skipping all the time!!!!

Got to say I've never used the CD player in my current car. I've got a 32GB USB drive plugged into it, and failing that, Google Play Music over Bluetooth. So even though my S3 will have a Columbus so will have an optical drive, I can't see myself using it much.

Load music into a sd card in glove box. Then leaves you the usb for charging smart link etc.

I find the Superb is large enough for 3 opera singers in the back seats and an orchestra in the boot. Can't be doing with this modern phonograph stuff

Ha ha, very true.
