Passionate about Skoda

Featured Replies

As my avatar (left) shows, we once had FIVE Fabias in our family but sadly, the last one was sold this week.

We still have a Yeti, Octavia Estate and a Citigo in our close family BUT a more distant relative has TWO Roomsters. Although I have been instrumental in others buying Skodas these were bought independently of my enthusiasm, they are well smitten too.

I'm so smitten by the Roomster that I'm on my second.  With the possible exception of the Yeti, I struggle to think of any other car that does everything so well.

I agree, and am now looking to replace my Roomster with a recent second hand model to extend my Roomster owning as long as possible.

I don't want a Yeti - I want the smallest possible city-friendly car with the boot space and seat flexibility of the Roomster. I am very upset with Skoda for discontinuing it. The Yeti is that bit bigger: there are times when I am edging through gaps - with other big 4x4 cars coming the other way and we wouldn't make it if I also had a wider car. And I don't want the extra insurance expense. And I may be wrong but I think the Yeti actually has less boot space than the Roomster?

I do miss mine and with it's demise, I am tempted to break my plans to get back into one. It's that or a van, berlingo or other van like thing...

My new Roomie has been the only new car I have owned which has have to have steering and suspension parts replaced within warranty. It has tarnished my enthusiasm for Skoda but when I see the emergency services using them reliability must be good, other than for me. I must say the 1.2tsi engine is a peach!!

Correct.  And Yeti's boot space is reduced further if you choose to carry a spare wheel.
