Black badges on black magic opinion

Featured Replies

I ordered a VRS 230 in black magic last week, and wondered your opinion of fitting black bonnet and boot badges, as the rest of the car is black !

I've never seen them in the flesh, so any input would be appreciated

The SuperSkoda black logo badges are also black magic, the black letters on ebay are just solid gloss black, so getting the originals painted in black magic would be a better option as the car is black magic in my opinion. I think it would look great!

I think it would look well.

@cherry evo - have you got a link to the black letters?

I meant the round bonnet/boot badges, but that does look cool  :p

Thanks everybody..Rob_e, that looks like fun  :D

I'd go (and have done) down Rob's route. Far cheaper and imho for the outset looks good.

How does the plasticoat deal with pressure washers?

How does the plasticoat deal with pressure washers?

Good question

I don't pressure wash the car, but the front and rear (circle) badges are holding up fine to general washing/abuse etc. the SKODA OCTAVIA script badges though started to lift at the edges so i pulled the plastidip off those. I think it was down to the damp weather when i sprayed them - going to re-try on a day when it's a big nicer for spraying (warm and dry basically).

Fine so far. Though I'd guess if you spray directly for too long with enough force it might lift it.

If you YouTube it there's a few videos about power washing.

This might be worth watching

That was very interesting

Glad I watched that as I now know how to do it.
