Brad to miss 2 races - Alex Lowes gets the Tech 3 bike at Silverstone and Misano.

Looks to be a wet Qualy and maybe race too.

Who put the UK MotoGP to September?

Should help the Brits which is one good thing.

Glad I did not go this weekend but then the facilities at Silverstone are very better than Spa I would give it that.

Great result from Maverick, what an absolutely convincing victory against the aliens, he is now an alien himself.

And well done Cal, so happy for him and the GOAT of course.

Maquez riding like a prat again. I can see how Rossi got sick of him by the end of last season, he nearly skittled Cal off.

I went right off Marquez a few years back, when he nearly killed 2 marshals and another rider by "stepping off" under double waved yellows. Had I been "clerk of the course" for that race, he would have been parked for the weekend, and under no illusions as to why!

Well done Luccio Cecchinello Racing on taking second win in moto GP.

Oh! and rider Cal Crutchlow, of course!!

Has the UK ever had a MotoGP and F1 winner on the same day like it did last Sunday?

Is John Surtees a contender for motor sport GOAT?

Well obviously; no-one else has ever won both the 500/MotoGP and F1 driver's  titles.

It's quite likely the GP double coukd have happened in the 60's or 70's with lots of Brit success. My money would be on sometime in 76/77 (Hunt/Sheene)

And due to his injuries in '65 he had to turn down the Lola that Graham Hill won the '66 Indy 500 with.

4th July 1976

John WILLIAMS (GB) Belgian GP 500 winner at Spa (the old superfast track)

James HUNT (GB) French GP F1 winner at Paul Ricard (again the old long circuit)

also, but earlier, that year HUNT and Barry SHEENE both won their GP on 2nd May at Jarama (Spain) and Salzburgring (Austria)

I havent looked any further back...

Well done.

Long time ago.

Miss those yowling two strokes bikes and 12 cylinder cars.

You mean engine sound  :D

Although MotoGP sounds far better than most car races.

More polluting that a Audi/SEAT/SKODA/VW diesel but man that noise.

Spent  a day working with Mick Grant whilst working at Piper, sadly never met Sheene.

My Kawasaki H1 would do similar cloud production.....

If you'd tried doing that tyre change these days, the grid penalty would have you starting the race at Silverstone! ;)

He was beyond brave at Aragon and since to be walking much better after the leg break only 5/6 weeks ago.

Again Rossi seems to be get the bike setup and tyres not right as he was well off the pace in Q2.

Hopefully a dry race tomorrow and we can get Rossi and Vinales mixing it with Dovi, Lorenzo and Marquez and even Dani might come out to play.

Like to see the championship still up for grabs rihgt up to the end if poss....
