Curious to Monthly Payments

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have my eyes set on the 220 PS Octavia vRS with a quote coming for the 230 (based upon additional equipment that works out cheaper from what I want on the 220).

Those that have monthly payments, just out of curiosity how much are you paying a month if you don't mind sharing / deposit put down

Surely the equity would be the same either way.It doesn't matter if you use a big deposit with small monthlies or a small deposit and big monthlies, the total paid over the term is more or less the sa

Agreed. An in that case a PCH is usually better as the deposit and monthlies are usually lower still.Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

Deposit put down £5k inc dealership contribution.

Monthly payments of £266 for 41 months

9k left to pay at the end.

Edited by Foster88

Deposit 4.5K

£228 monthly payments

10K to pay at the end

I put 5.5k down, 0% over 3.5 yrs and mileage of 15k is £260 a month. That's on a tdi vRS manual with about £1200 of extras.

£6500 deposit/dealer contrib

£270 over 41 months

£10600 final payment

5000 miles/year iirc although I've done 7000 miles in 6 months so far

I'm on the 0% finance so only got a couple of £k off the list price

My VRS 4x4 Estate came in at an eye watering £343

That was with 5k down

£1500 of options

12k miles a year

Over 42 months

vRS 230

£6,300 down

£2000 dealer contribution

42 months

10,000 miles

£259 a month

vRS estate, black pack plus - 0 % finance deal

£500 - my deposit

£1000 - dealer contribution

= £358 a month

although I'm going to pay a chunk off the finance and reduce the monthly payment in  the near future

I don't understand how all of yours are low!

I got quotes 430 a month for the vrs 230!!

Am I doing something wrong, bare in mind I'm only use 500 deposit and 2000 from Skoda

VRS 220 estate

£2000 down inc Dealer contribution on 0% finance

42 months

8k miles

£9k final payment

£307 per month.

Far rather have a higher monthly payment and keep the £5/6k some people have put down in their own bank.

£3k down and £262 a month. No idea what the balloon is, id need to look. Few options ticked too. That's a vRS 220 manual hatch.

I think the deposit just helps provide a stable monthly payment based on your monthly income. The 430 a month is affordable for me, but with 2.5k deposit including Skoda, I don't understand why it's higher than most people.

Bit odd. If I decide to go for it (vrs 230) what shall I hassle them for?? The standard full tank fuel, mats, spare wheel??

On my TDI it's

£1200 deposit

£304 a month

15k miles

vRS 4x4 estate with Canton, Columbus, KESSY and winter pack... 3K down including Skoda contribution, about 380 a month for 42 with 11K to pay at end

I went for PCH because I get bored with cars after a few years, this way I don't have to bother with depreciation.

1 deposit at £1600 and then 35 @ £277 a month, direct from Skoda.

Hired a lot of cars including top range Merc's so driving round in a car that doesn't belong to me doesn't really bother me.

Did the same with my Scout.

£1300 deposit. £199 a month for 2 years.

Those are some huge deposits you guys are putting down. Are you planning on keeping the car at the end of the PCP?

What difference does a larger deposit make?

A large deposit = smaller monthlies

A small deposit = larger monthlies

Whichever way round you do it the total is roughly the same.

Money in the bank isn't going to earn you much interest these days.

I'd prefer smaller monthly payments myself.

Octavia Vrs 230 Tsi ( 66 plate, 01 sept delivery ) ), 8K miles a year, No Deposit, Negative Equity, part Ex my Vrs Tdi, 41 months @ £350 MGFV 10.5K ( does't apply to me as I won't have the beast for 41 months anyway.

Forgot to add, I also gret 2 free services

Money paid in the future is worth less than money paid today, for them to be equal, the interest rate would need to be 0%

Also depends what Discount you get, My friendly dealer knocked off 15% + £2K from Skoda

Money paid in the future is worth less than money paid today, for them to be equal, the interest rate would need to be 0%

Which then supports a larger deposit?

A more radical but traditional approach - 230 VRS from broker (£19764 base 21% discount) - £1000 deposit (+£5000 leave in bank) RBS loan for £14000 over 42 months @ £356.70 per month. Guess what no balloon and you own the car.
