See if you can find the Yeti Vrs thread, that should give you a few more ideas 

To be honest the Yeti is not that boring.

If it was adding some shiny exhaust tips, wheels and changing the brake discs would make little difference.

 

It still impresses me how well they drive, for a car that was released in 2009 they are good fun in 4x4 guise.

I'm new to Škoda and only had my Yeti for 3 months, but I certainly don't fine it anonymous or boring, somebody's looking for a slap    :p

I actually forgot this forum for a while, to be honest But by getting back I got myself a good laugh due to some of the posts following my first topic here! However - I obviously hurt some people here - which was not my intention. I like the car a lot, and find myself using it a lot more than I thought I would. I believed a Yeti forum was for mainly adult, serious people, accepting different opinions about the car, but realize that like in all car forums, there are always some idiots ready to give you a good laugh. Thanks.

I'm going to be controversial here, I have a 2014 Yeti 1.2 SE DSG 2wd, and it replaced a 1.2 105tsi Roomster SE, and strangely, I preferred my Roomster, it was more versatile, neither my wife or I can get comfortable in the Yeti after about 2hrs driving, and we both found the Roomster more comfortable on a long run. I know there is not much difference in the seats but it is enough to hurt. Also at 6'5" and a bit, I cannot get the steering wheel to see all of the speedo all of the time so I have to adjust it for higher motorway speed. There I've said it in public now, I'm out of the closet, let the flaming begin.

I've never sat in a Roomster , but I would imagine them to be more comfortable .

With those 18" wheels you won't be bored - vibrated but not bored!!!

To a certain extent you'r right - but still - next year there will be 245/35x19 on the car.

Thanks - you said it! (I'm already unpopulsr here - after a few posts...) When we bought our Yeti, I soon discovered that it was almost impossible to find a decent drving position. That is mainly due to the steering wheel, which is placed in a flat, bus-driver manner, or somewhat like an old italian sports car (and thats not a compliment!) The Roomster was the complete oposit, the driving position was extremely good, believe it or not, more like ca modern sports car. We had the 1.9 Tdi with the very good sport seats, and no doubt, it was a much more drivers car than the much more expensive Yeti. And as even my wife now says, I like the Yeti a lot, but I cannot find a good driving position. Shame for such a nice little SUV.

Only when it concerns the seats and driving position, the rest of the Roomster works ok, but feels VERY cheap.

I don't mind bus like steering, I also have a Fiat Ducato based motorhome which is very comfortable to drive, my 1974 Ford Escort original non reclining seats are more comfortable than the Yeti.  Maybe it is lack of support in the thigh section, or the hardness of the seat base because it can be almost bum numbing in the passenger seat, or the slightly offset steering wheel, I don't know. Just don't get me started on the armrest which impedes access to the handbrake........

Although in the Yeti's favour, my wife likes it as a runabout.

I cannot get my head around that unless you have a totally different Yeti to anything I've seen, even in the extremes of adjustment available.

Well from someone who views the Yeti as anonymous you didn't expect an accurate assessment did you!
