Bought this today, well happy with the price I paid

now all I need to do is

Get 17" alloys

Fit uprated springs ( may do the shocks as well, not that impressed with the cornering ability)

Fit a tuning box as I want 150bhp ( probably dragon one if anyone wants to sell me one!:)

all in all happy with my purchase!:)

Nice one

Nice one, the best colour too

The eibachs will make it handle much much better, and a rear arb from jabba, if you fancy one.

Looks tidy from the pics.

Didn't take you long to get it.

was a fair drive, bur waving fifty pound notes under somones nose makes things happen faster

Are you gonna spill the beans then??

Tell us a bit about it.

what you want to know?

paid 6900 for it

is 04 plate 12k FSH with one owner has no optional extras

very clean other than a heavy scratch on the offside wheel ( getting 17'"s anyway)

and a scratch on the top of the dashboard ( automotive magic man to repair?)

Thats nice and cheap. Was it advertised in Auto Trader?

Is it a pre facelift?

  • Author

is july 04 so I presume its post facelift, whats the difference

was on ebay but I rang the guy within half hour of him sticking it on there and got him to remove it for a cash deal

Was this the damaged / repaired 1 on ebay?

Blimey, gutted for myself! Don't like that kind of depreciation!

Good for you though mate... Looks nice!

It's had the rubbish (sorry rubbing) strips removed too, which makes it look v.tidy.

Get it lowered and you'll love it even more (oh, and do something about the black door handles!)

has the same rear lights

yes it def needs lowering, thought it would go round corners better ( only driven mates cars and coupleof demo cars at the dealers so nerver really pushed one)

my Focus zetec handles quite a bit better

Impressed with the mid range power though just a shame it tails off so fast

I would suspect it's on the hit list at that price. £6.9k is well below bottom book according to Glasses for that age and mileage. Either that or the previous keeper was too stupid for his own good :)

I did find another really nice one in Lincoln that I was going to get, old lady owner late 04 plate less than 8k miles had the anti skid control, was advertised at 8495 and was talking of 8k cash

Whilst it looks a v.nice car that price is way to cheap!

Did you get it HPi'd b4 you bought it ??? -- could well be on finance or worse

  • Author

have had it hpi'd. has had a class d smack

I aint stupid

Gents - A little bit of tact and diplomacy please.

xeman has just got himself a nice new car that he is happy with. It is fine to agree that it is a bargain price but not necessarily fair to infer that it may be anything less than legit.

I would like to think that anyone making a private purchase would take the time to make the necessary checks before parting with cash. If they don't then it's down to them.

Cool -- you'd be amazed the number of people who do buy cars without having them checked -- I know, I get to break the bad news to them!!

The latest....

Hello I'd like to book my A6 in for it's 40k service.

No problem Sir, can I have the reg ??

Yes its LV12XYZ

Do you mean the 140K service Sir ?

No the 40K - its done 39k now.

Strange Audi's mainframe shows the car having full history at one dealership right upto the last service at 119K

I have been had before, bought a cavalier td that was too cheap

turned out was an ex taxi that had done done 300k

won't happen to me again

Looks tidy, got less miles than my 05 plate, and the price.. I'm stunned, what a bargain!

Sorry have I missed something?? Nobody inferred that the car isn't legit only that there must be something 'not quite right' at that price - which there is.
