windows making noise

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Recently all of my car windows making noise when I open / close.

If it is rain, no noise at all. Only happening when it is sunny.

Any one know the problem.

Thanks...

Dry seals, you need some lube.

Try some Simoniz Back to Black silicon spray on the window rubbers.

I use this which may be similar: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gummi-Pflege-Rubber-Stick-100ml/dp/B007TNOQDI

It has the advantage that you can put it on all the outside rubber to protect it from UV in sunlight. Just try to avoid getting it on the paintwork or you spend just as much time getting it off the paint!

One of the back windows in mine has started doing this, bloody annoying when I open the window!

the back one does on my old girl i use ky jelly ;)

I've had this birds chirping sound when it has been dry for a period on the drivers door window up/ down since the car was new.

Skoda blamed and sprayed window guides and did seem to stop the birds chirping for a short while..

Have used furniture polish since which did the trick, but alas only for a short time..
