DAYTIME SAFETY DRIVING LIGHTS

Featured Replies

Summer time is the worst time for being 'incognito' with bright sun but with deep shade from trees shading the road, I find.

DRL's are here to stay whether we like or not.

Do not resist  :D

Are you noticing how many are around that are faulty now,?

which likely is due to no light fault warnings on lots of cars for the DRL's and drivers are not aware, or just not bothering to fix the faults one.

DRLs and foglights, the only types of light that are much better when they're not lit.:D

How else would Audi and Range Rover drivers show us their superiority without so many DRLs?

And don't get me started on the new Audi 'moving' indicators!!

So are the wildlife, sheep, cyclists, walkers etc so you have to keep your eyes peeled and all your senses alert.

If you miss a vehicle without lights on on the other side of the road in the situation you really need to be looking out for something on your own side, maybe even a car or motorcycle stopped at your side of the road without brake lights on.

Just because it is not possible to mitigate all such risks, it remains important to mitigate those we can.

Switch your front and rear lights on then,

but the UK Government never bothered making it a law yet that others have to, only went along with the EU that Manufacturers need to fit them as standard now, but no compulsion to use them.

Yawn!!

Thank God for the Ignore button.

Graham yours is faulty surely & somehow you keep forgetting by not ignoring.

Yawn!!

Thank God for the Ignore button.

Oh ! If only it was that simple !

There will always be haters. Of all the safety advancements on moderns cars lighting seems to upset people the most.

I've never understood why these images cause such confusion or discomfort...

No... I haven't finished reading the "many" threads on the matter.....

No... I haven't finished reading the "many" threads on the matter.....

And then I'll probably ask Graham if I can borrow his "ignore" button whilst he's in France !!

Remember that you added the (many), & the (yet)  your post #23.

it is not what i said and not in your quote of what i said.

If you want any links then look yourself, those asking why they have no DRL's ask in all sorts of threads on various subjects,

sometimes the Lights are disconnected but then that puts the Sidelights out on a vRS,

sometimes the wiring is corroded or fuses removed, same result, no sidelights, and surprising some do not notice.
