Hi guys.

 

I am new to Briskoda forum site, and i looking for some advice on a Skoda Octavia i have recently bought within the last month.

I bought a 63 plate mk3 Octavia, 2ltr diesel estate, 5E model.

 

I am looking to modify some bits on the car, I have already tinted the windows to Limo black, and sprayed the badges front and back, Matt black.

 

1#     I am looking to find out how easy/hard it is to remove the roof bars, so that i can spray them black, I was not to keen on the chrome piece's on the car, and the roof rack is another item to be sprayed, I understand that i have to drop the internal roof liner, but would like to know what is involved, or if anyone has done this.

 

2#     Is it possibly to remove the front chrome grill surround without removing the bumper, i have seen some forum comments, that the grill surround is held in with push retaining clips within the front grill, of which you should be able to remove when the bonnet is up, any ideas?

 

3#     Front splitter and side skirt options?

 

4#     last but not least, but most importantly 'ALLOYS'

 

My Dad has a mk3 VRS model with some 18'' wheels, and i am looking to do the same, upgrade from my standard factory 16''.

I am new to alloy wheel specs, how do i find out what alloys will fit my model car, what will to i need to take into account about the ABS, rolling wheel size changes etc. has anyone ever tried to fit 19'' wheels?

 

would greatly apprciate any help on any of these questions.
