Insurance for 19 year old on Fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Afternoon all, still finding my bearings on here so probably posting in the wrong spot! the Fabia has currently been off the road and off to the garage this evening, been using the old mans metro 1.4 GTA for the past two weeks, anyway just switched my insurance back onto the Fabia. I've only been driving just over a year with 1 years no claims, with monthly payments at £74.09 meaning the yearly cost of somewhere around £889. Would you say this is a good price? I'm the only driver on the policy.

I think you're doing alright if you got fully comp for just under £900 at your age and (lack of) driving experience.

get a quote for dad being named on your policy. should reduce it for you

I paid about £850 when I was 19 with my vrs 7 years ago. So with how prices are now that's very good.

I'm just about to pay £830 TPFT for my vrs so I believe that's the going rate, unless your quote is for fully comp which is exceptional as mine would be £1200 otherwise.

These are all without having a black box fitted to the car.

I paid £650 last year (before modding things) and that was with 4 years ncb and being 22 years old.

How old are you? As the last 5 years it's been cheaper for me to go fully comp than TPFT?

Try sky insurance. They got me down to £500 FC all mods declared with like for like replacements if I am involved in a accident.

I would say that's cheap I pay 1000 for me and my partner I've got 1y ncb and had my licence 6 I do live in the bb area tho so insurance is abit higher here

As in Sky television ?

Sounds very reasonable. Just short of £800 this year for me with mods on Adrian Flux :/

That's very very cheap in my opinion you must live in a low risk area

My brother is 18 and shortly doing his test, quotes for a 1.2 fiat panda are upwards of 1200

I'm 24 with 7ncb and my Octavia vrs petrol will be 680 this year so yes it's a very good price you have

No I don't think there linked, they beat my renewal quote from a adrian flux buy £140 odd pounds. No questions asked about my mods, flux questioned my 75% power increase and sent out the paperwork with only a 26% increase....so had many phone calls sorting it out.

Sky's been very good so far.

Cheers gents, doesn't seem like I'll be getting it any cheaper than what it is seems like I'm paying a reasonable price for my age! Ive never had a black box fitted to any of my cars, directline for me has always worked out miles cheaper in quotes than any other company, and switching your insurance from one car to another is free so no administration fee unlike some other company's

Hi,

When your insurance is up for renewal please feel free to give us a try if you like. What you're currently paying does sound pretty competitive though.

Regards,

Dan.

Think that's a great price, my lad (18) pays £180 per month for 1.2 Sport on a 55 plate, first year of driving.

Bloody Hell, are you a pub landlord or something in the entertainment business? That's the sort of quotes those guys get.
