That's true, however, I do know someone who really believes that it is animal or human urea. The mind boggles as to how this would be collected nowadays and the vast quantities that would need to be involved. Human urea used to be collected in the past and sent, by sea, to be used as a mordant.

 

Some things from the past are best to remain there .... and some things are best not thought about ..... oft to purge my mind :blush:

Not even by sea. It was often collected in the local area for the local dying works, the local soap makers, and also for the leather tanning industry.

In some places they even paid for it!

This was my concern as well but it wasn't a problem. I unscrewed it a number of times.

As per another thread I've now bought the hose that will screw onto the Adblue tank and the 10 litre (VW) container that I filled the small bottle from.

 

From whence came the adapter hose? please

Yes, that's the one, thanks to another member who posted it up on a previous discussion.
